My girlfriends and I loved our stay at the Big Dipper! The cabin is beautiful, comfortable and conveniently located. There was plenty of space for the six of us. We particularly enjoyed hanging out on the stunning deck, in the hot tub and at nearby Speedboat Beach. Sally was a communicative and helpful host, and her local recommendations are spot on! We would happily to return and will not hesitate to recommend this property to our friends and family.

Scott was a terrific host! We truly enjoyed his cabin, as it was a perfect fit for our family gathering with our kids who came in a from Las Vegas to meet us, coming in from Arizona. The cabin is truly amazing and we felt right at home. Scott was very friendly and always helpful and thoughtful! I highly recommend a Scott’s place, the house is perfect and Scott is a wonderful host! We built some amazing memories with our family and can’t wait to go back!

The house was a perfect hub for our family members for the weekend of our wedding. The gold room downstairs was such a lovely space to get dressed and ready for our ceremony and we really enjoyed the swinging chairs and gorgeous view from the big deck. Such a peaceful place! And large enough to accommodate family for meals and breakfast while they were in town, which was particularly nice since we didn't have a reception, just a small private ceremony. The whole house was well stocked with everything we could need including all kitchenware, appliances, and even an iron and ironing board. Check in and check out was easy and everything was very well cleaned. I felt immediately comfortable when we arrived! This place has great vibes. We had an unforgettable weekend.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful cabin! It's tucked away on a very private and peaceful piece of property, which made it the perfect escape. The owners clearly put a lot of care and thought into the experience—they went above and beyond to make everything welcoming and comfortable. The cabin was spotless, and it was such a joy and unique opportunity to relax and take in the natural surroundings, especially the gardens. We truly didn’t want to leave and tried to extend our stay, but it was already booked—no surprise, considering how special this place is. We can't wait to come back! The hummingbirds were a bonus!

Beautiful cabin in the woods with comfortable beds and relaxing hot tub. Hot tub was already warm when we arrived and no extra charge to use the hot tub. Wonderful kitchen where we made breakfast and we went out to dinner at local restaurants. About 10 mins away from Boreal and Donner Ski Ranch and close to several other Tahoe Ski resorts. We woke up to several cute chipmunks running in the snow right outside the sliding door. Would go back.

Cabin was awesome. Cozy and comfortable. Modern upgrades and well stocked to enjoy an escape to natural, everything you need. Hot tub under the stars accentuated the experience. Walls of windows allowed full experience. Nestled in the redwoods. Highly recommend a stay.

The place was really great. It had everything including the utensils, towels, barbecue, and many more.

Stayed here for the last 2 days of our honeymoon after a busy week in Napa. What a perfect place to unwind, relax, and get back to nature! The cabin was absolutely perfect for us and provided a great home base for anything in and around Lake Tahoe as it’s located pretty much central to everything around while still being secluded enough to not feel like you’re in a city. The neighborhood was super safe and quiet too; I left my wallet on the dash, doors unlocked over night accidentally, and nothing happened, nor would I be worried to start. Jolene was an amazing host, provided exceptional check-in/out directions, and fantastic local recommendations, and was absolutely un-intrusive. The cabin was fully stocked with quality stuff for everything we needed; plenty of towels, soaps, laundry detergent, etc. We plan on returning back here in a few months over summer and definitely over winter for some skiing. 10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone looking for a luxurious, quiet,Tahoe get away!

A absolutely beautiful home! It had all the amenities and more. I have my 10month old baby and David/Holly included everything you could possibly think of and more. Definitely a 10000/10 experience. My family and I were inspired by the beautiful home and attention to detail. David/Holly made the instructions very simple and straight toward making the stay so smooth. Everything was explained perfectly. Donner lake is super close which also made it super fun for us. David/Holly thank you for giving our family a beautiful stay, and allowing us to create memories that will never forget. I highly recommend their home. I can’t describe to words how much we enjoyed and recommend your beautiful home. Hoping we can stay here in the future again! Thank you!!

We really liked this place. Rural, very scenic. The cabin is very well constructed and well maintained. Nice step-in shower. Good kitchen. Bring food. There aren’t many dining choices nearby. The trading post at Dutch Flat is surprisingly well stocked, which is a good thing because the mini-mart/gas station at the Dutch Flat off ramp is the only other place around to get provisions.

We were looking for a private, rustic, yet modern weekend retreat and we found it. The setting was great and the cabin had all the indoor and outdoor amenities we were expecting, plus an expansive deck with comfortable furniture - and a helpful bug zapper!

The house is beautiful and very comfortable. It accommodated everyone comfortably. The beds were some of the most comfortable I've slept on in any Airbnb. Kathryn was very responsive host. my family and I would absolutely stay here again.

We really enjoyed the amenities, and extra fans since it did get warm upstairs. My grandkids loved and asked to return to the same house next year!! It was super clean and comfortable! We made great memories 💙

Nicolas’s home is excellent — clean, spacious, and very comfortable for more than just a short stay. The terrace is great for BBQ, and the shade from the acacia tree makes it perfect for breakfast outdoors. We truly appreciated that the house is pet-friendly. We had two large dogs, and they loved the small fenced area and dog door. Please clean up after your pets if you bring them too. Upstairs has several bedrooms, one with a beautiful sky and forest view. The kitchen is well-equipped (though a few more dishes would be great), laundry is available, and internet is strong. TV works well too. The host lives next door but gives you total privacy. Nicolas was always helpful and respectful. Only two small notes: the house is close to a road (not an issue for us), and we hoped the hot tub was in a more cozy location — we didn’t end up using it. Great location: close to wineries, an apple farm, shops, and gas stations. We visited Sacramento, Sonoma, Napa ,even Lake Tahoe to San Francisco

Our family stayed at Casi’s home for a wedding weekend and was GREAT! Highly recommended to all! House was Comfortable, had all necessary essentials to make family meals, was roomy, clean, private and enjoyable. Will definitely stay again when in area again! 10 out of 10! This is one of my favorite homes I’ve stayed in. The location is perfect for checking out the area…by bike, car, ATV, hiking or paddling, there’s something for everyone close by. The home is beautiful with an awesome great room and porch to play games and gather with the family. Our pup loved it too. Nice amenities, comfortable beds and Rachel was responsive and helpful. Hope to visit again after the snow melts although early season was great too with less crowds. We had the river and lakes to ourselves mid-week.

We made an early April visit with our 5 year-old for one more swing at snow play and sledding. Fortunately, the approach was clear but seeing a snow plow parked and ready to go near the property makes me think that help will always be available. There was a mountain of snow to ourselves in the back of the property which we enjoyed. The home was quiet, clean and well stocked. The wood-burning fireplace was easy to use with plenty of firewood available. We loaded it up around 7 p.m. and followed the video instructions to keep the home warm till the morning. The radiator and the ceiling fan helped maintain the temp during the day, but the room doors need to be left open for the heat to waft in. We used the full kitchen regularly, all the appliances are newer and they worked well. Beds were comfy and the bathroom was clean with plenty of fresh towels. We appreciated the new instant water heater and how quickly it provided hot water. Nyack Snow Park was outstanding at $30/day total.

Steven was very friendly, easy to reach and fast responses. The cabin is quaint and comfortable, if the couch was a bit bigger might be more comfortable. The kitchen was perfect and being that we stayed in for dinners was fantastic, the stove and hood system was amazing! Loved the bedrooms in the upstairs loft, super cozy and comfortable. Would absolutely return and appreciate Steven's communication and overall positive approach!

Marinas place is a Great serene lakes cabin. Good vibes and super tidy decor and amenities. Top notch kitchen. Lovely great room with cozy fireplace. Helpful friendly host and clear instructions to make the most of the stay.

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect cabin for our stay. It was less than 10 minutes away from Boreal Ski area where we were going each day so extremely convenient. More importantly, though, was the thought put into every detail in the cabin. Anything we possibly needed was there. It was as if I had supplied everything from our own home which is a relief when staying with a family of six far from home. There was plenty of space so we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other also. The wood burning fireplace stocked with all needed fire and starters was such a bonus and so appreciated on the super cold nights. I highly recommend this cabin and hope to come back again in the summer to enjoy it in another beautiful season.

As a family of 4, we rely on rental homes when we travel. We've endured some duds, but this place stood out as a gem - our favorite so far. Really spacious and well appointed. Great central heat meant no need to use the wood stove, which would've been tough with a toddler. Location is really close to the Donner ski areas and Truckee is about a 15 minute drive away. Lots of parking in the driveway when it snows. Tons of stuff to help make family meals (e.g. salt, garlic, oregano, tons of cooking stuff). Really clean place and the couch is incredibly comfy. A bit away from a proper grocery store, but there are general stores nearby for basics forgotten at home. The pizza place nearby was great for takeout the night of our arrival to get food on the table quickly after some travel delays (it closes at 8 pm and we just made it). A great home away from home. We hope to come back often next year!

Nice clean spot near sugar bowl. Good for our family of 5 with 3 young kids. Strongly recommend.

This cabin looks better than the pictures. It is spacious, well decorated, and surrounded by tall trees. We will be staying here again.
