Holiday houses in Solana de los Barros

Wat een heerlijke week hebben we in La Coscoja gehad. Een prachtig huis met een heerlijke veranda en het geluid van alle boerderijdieren en vogels om ons heen. Curro en Mari Carmen zijn vriendelijk en attent. We kunnen deze plek zeker aanraden.

We stayed for three nights in this lovely apartment. It is situated at the corner of one of the lovely, iconic, small, atmospheric squares and there is a larger square just next door which has some nice bars, cafes and restaurants. It is very central, and everything is easily within reach - even the Mercadona supermarket. The apartment has a lovely terrace which gets the sun for most of the day and there is an awning which will provide shade if you need it. The kitchen is bright and airy and has everything that you need to stay for a few days and cook (or not) for yourself. The beds are comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. There is parking available close by however, there is plenty parking available a little further away. The only significant drawback was that there was no internet. We would return.

Äußerst freundliche Begrüßung und ausführliche Information. Miguel war bei der Organisation eines Ausflugs nach Elvas sehr behilflich. Apartment hübsch eingerichtet, sehr sauber, einige Aufmerksamkeiten wie Kaffeekapseln, Zahnbürsten etc. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Besuch von Olivenza sehr empfehlenswert.

Todo estaba de maravilla , la casa reluciente , el detalle de las galletas para los pequeños y la barrita para la mascota que llevábamos es de agradecer volveremos sin ningún tipo de duda ! GRACIAS

El lugar perfecto al que ir para desconectar. Toda la casa estaba impecable y cada detalle cuidado al milímetro. Beatriz muy atenta y muy agradable. Nos ha encantado la casa, la terraza y la piscina. Repetiremos sin duda!

¡Magnífica estancia! Relación calidad-precio, excelente ubicación, incluso mejor que en las fotos. La decoración y organización del lugar invitan a sentirse cómodos y hace que todo sea muy acogedor. Parece que todo ha sido pensado con esmero para que la estancia sea única e inolvidable. Todos estos pequeños detalles, desde un cajón lleno de té, café, aceite de oliva, azúcar, etc., hasta otros artículos que se puedan necesitar, demuestran la atención que los anfitriones han prestado a esta encantadora y muy tranquila casa. También tuvieron el detalle de dejar una botella de agua en el frigorífico, algo que se agradece enormemente tras llegar de un viaje. Además, la cama y las almohadas son muy cómodas y pudimos descansar estupendamente. Es decir, ¡¡100% recomendable!!

La casa es antigua pero te sientes muy a gusto en ella. Los muebles reformados son una preciosidad. La limpieza impecable y eso que la casa es bastante grande. El patio tiene unas vistas muy bonitas de la torre de la iglesia que por la noche iluminan y está preciosa. Pudimos disfrutar de él y de la barbacoa un día que hizo buen tiempo y el resto de días, de la chimenea, que es una gozada y calienta la casa. El pueblo es pequeño pero tiene un castillo y varios museos para visitar que nos gustaron mucho. Agradecer a la anfitriona, Mercedes su atención y los detalles que tuvo con nosotros y a Loli que fue muy amable.

What a fantastic place! Carmen and her family were perfect hosts welcoming us to the amazing Dehesa. It is a fully working farm with Iberian pigs among the oaks and sheep ranging about. There are incredible walks all around the extensive property with stunning views over the surrounding landscape. The apartment is stylish and perfectly comfortably with a great kitchen for cooking in. Having lunch on the giant terrace was a daily highlight. The night sky is not to be missed either, stars visible from horizon to horizon. Carmen and her father had lots of good tips for sites to visit in the area—many amazing Roman ruins and towns to visit. But why would you leave paradise?! This is truly a unique and magical place. And don’t miss their own jamón!
