Solva - village location

PaulaRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Ty Aelwyd was a fabulous find! The annexe was beautifully furnished with everything we needed for our stay. The living area was really cosy. Clear instructions for check in and Philipa was very responsive to our messages. The location was excellent, a 10 minute walk downhill to Solva village. We walked some of the coastal path, the views were outstanding. We ate out at 35 Main Street which was great, and had a drink in the Harbour Inn and the Hats and Barrels. Our favourite by far was The Ship, we ate out there in the evening (their fish choices are superb) and returned for Sunday lunch which was fabulous. We visited St David's, Whitesands Bay, Porthgain, Strumble Head, Milford Haven and Newgale. We loved our stay at Philipa's and would definitely recommend to others

Gallery Cottage, Porthgain

MartynRating, 5 stars1 week ago
As a "mature" couple who've been coming to Porthgain for 30+ years we know the village pretty well, staying at a variety of self catering properties there. "Harbour Lights" is certainly one of the best - perhaps THE best we've stayed at. A small place is Porthgain so saying the location is ideal should be a given but for those new to it you are 100 yards from the pub and not much more to "The Shed" fish restaurant. Double that and you're through past the harbour and onto the cliff walks. Onto Ryan's 2-bed single storey property, it gives no clue from it's frontal aspect as to what lies behind - an extremely well appointed holiday apartment. In it's 2nd year as an Airbnb and still looks prestine. Well appointed and stylish, you can tell Ryan is a man of the arts by the way it's been furnished - cleverly & tastefully making use of the space. available. Ideal for two, or perhaps a couple with young children. Four adults for more than a weekend?🤔 We loved it and hope you do too 👍 M&Gx

3 bedroom bungalow with amazing sea views

RachelRating, 5 stars3 days ago
The cottage is beautiful with exceptional views out to the beach and sea, the living space and kitchen is open plan and very spacious - perfect for families. The host provided a welcome basket with nice goodies including lots of leaflets for local points of interest. Our dogs loved the secure garden and quick walk to the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the comfortable patio furniture in the sun and on the large couch in the evenings enjoying the views. Would love to visit again and already planning our next trip to Pembrokeshire.

Romantic Cosy cottage - log burner, coastal walks

JamesRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had an amazing stay in Solva at Joanne's property. It is centrally located in Solva, but in a private location. The cottage itself was immaculate, and as described, and was the perfect cozy getaway we were looking for. Very well equipped, and a perfect base for exploring Pembrokeshire. Joanne was very helpful and responsive, and was always happy to offer recommendations or answer any questions we had. We would definitely recommend Solva and Joanne's cottage.

Cosy Welsh Cottage Pembrokeshire Coast /log burner

AnnaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The cottage was in a perfect location along a quiet road but within easy walking distance of Solva with it's many pubs, shops and cafes. It was a cosy place and had everything we needed. We had no problems at all, although I'm sure joanne would have been helpful if we needed anything. Thank you.

Honeysuckle Cottage Solva

Shropshire GlampingRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Honeysuckle Cottage was perfect for our last minute honeymoon (booked later as we are renovating a house) everything you need right on the doorstep. walks, nice little shops and galleries and plenty of pubs/restaurants. all the conveniences of your own home are right there in the cottage. as a host myself, I would not do anything different than Phil has done with his place. (maybe have an extra t towel, wash up liquid) otherwise...fab! we will definitely be back. love Solva! ❤️

The Cabin @ Nogg Cottages

VanessaRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We had a fabulous holiday at Nogg cottages. Henry greeted us on arrival and told us a few places to walk etc. There was a well detailed folder with all the information in we needed for the cottage and the local area. The property was exactly as we saw in the photos, and was immaculate. Very cosy and also very spacious and well laid out. Everything we needed kitchen wise had been thought of too. On arrival it was nice to find some little treats, like a bottle of wine and Welsh cakes, milk, coffee, and tea also. It was so cosy to sit at night with the log burner on as we have one at home it was something we wanted when looking for somewhere to stay. The bathroom was spacious and had a lovely large shower. We had a good nights sleep every night as the bed was also very comfy and the room was delightful. It was just so peaceful, just what we wanted. If we were visiting the area again we would most certainly wish to come back. Henry is a fabulous host.

Cwt Y Gof - Secluded hideaway

MathewRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Nestled within a beautifully quiet garden off a private road, you can tell this place was crafted by a craftsman, with so many beautiful details littered within the cabin. Whilst we didn't get to meet Jamie and Emma in person (we kept missing one another), their communication and assistance was perfect throughout. Just sad we could only stay for one evening.
