Holiday rentals with a kayak in Somerford Lagoon

Stunning location and great stay! Only comments would be to change the blinds throughout the house. Noisy when doors are open, do not reduce light in the slightest, probably not as much of an issue if you do not have kids to put to bed. Otherwise really nice!

We had a fantastic stay! The house is in a stunning lakeside location with gorgeous views - it was a real treat to just relax and take it all in. We loved spending time around the house, using the paddle boards and kayak, playing pool, and having BBQs - there was so much to do. We also enjoyed exploring some beautiful nearby Cotswolds villages. Chris and Sarah were brilliant hosts - super responsive, and thougthful throughout our stay. It happened to be a heatwave during our visit, and they ensured we were comfortable, providing plenty of fans. The house was really well equipped too. We'd definitely love to come back! 🤍

We loved our stay here, definitely somewhere we will revisit as we actually got engaged here this weekend! The views were incredible, we felt extremely private and secluded. The surrounding lake and fishing ponds where amazing and also the local trails where east to find and very close by. Would highly recommend to anyone who’s looking to find their own little peaceful bubble for a few days

This is such an incredible place - both in terms of accommodation, and the setting. It was amazing (though a little tricky!) getting out on the lake in the kayak and paddle boards we hired. the house is so well-equipped, with everything we needed for a three-night stay. The house was spotlessly clean, showers excellent, WiFi and TVs fantastic, and the deck goes the sun for most of the day. we had a walk to a pub (the crown) which had great beer (and the curry smelled amazing). All-in-all, an absolutely fantastic trip away. Thanks!

We had a lovely long weekend here celebrating my father in laws 80th. The house was just perfect for 6 adults- lovely to each have our own bathroom. The setting was beautiful overlooking the lake and a great location to explore the cotswolds.

We had an amazing weekend at this property. Everything about it was perfect; fully equipped kitchen, comfy beds, spotlessly clean and STUNNING views of the lake! The rowing boat was also a beautiful touch which we used a lot. There are lots of lovely cafes and restaurants just a couple minutes away. The Crown pub is a must visit and The Getaway Cafe is perfect for breakfast. We did have activities planned during the day but we ended up cancelling some of them to make the most of our time at the property, it was that amazing! The jacuzzi was very clean and warm, and another well used amenity by my family. We had an issue with one of the electric blinds but the host was very quick to respond with a solution and it was fixed within the hour. We could not fault this property at all, we’re already planning our return visit 😊

Celia's place was absolutely stunning. Instructions to arrive were clear and we were welcomed into her beautiful home. We didn't actually make it out on check in day as we were exhausted after Blenheim Palace! The shower was refreshing and plenty of towels and shower stuff available. Getting into the bed was an absolute dream - it was so comfortable and the room itself was beautiful. Lovely sized room with a dresser, a chair and a small loveseat - more than enough for us two. Celia made us breakfast the next morning and it was amazing. She is so very incredibly generous and kind. She is full of stories and made us feel very welcome. We also met a couple of other people staying at Celia's place and it was great to get that opportunity to talk over breakfast. Celia's place is perfectly located for loads of different Cotswold locations so honestly please look into staying here. Best Airbnb experience we've ever had! Thank you so much Celia 💖💖

We stayed here as a family to celebrate my wife’s 30th birthday, and it was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we arrived, the property was exactly as pictured—beautiful, spotless, and thoughtfully designed with everything we could possibly need for a relaxing and memorable stay. The living spaces were spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room for everyone to unwind. The kitchen was well-equipped, which made hosting a birthday dinner at home a breeze. And the views? Absolutely stunning—waking up to those each morning was a treat in itself. Our host was incredibly responsive, welcoming, and helpful throughout, which made the experience even better. From local recommendations to thoughtful touches around the home, we felt genuinely looked after. It was the perfect setting for a special occasion, and we’ve come away with some truly lovely memories. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious getaway. Our 2 night stay in Katy’s property was wonderful and we wished we could have stayed longer! It is extremely well equipped with good quality furniture, fittings, linens etc, Katy has thought of everything we could need and more. The property is in a perfect position to easily explore the canal, basin, aqueduct etc. There are also bus stops nearby so we could leave our car behind when visiting Bath. We would highly recommend Katy’s place!

A real home from home.The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could need including tea, coffee and sugar and cooking essentials. The biscuits and fresh milk on arrival were thoughtful. The luxury toiletries were gorgeous and it felt like a hotel with the fluffy white towels and dressing gowns. Great quiet location with a private rear garden really fantastic for our two pooches and our Son to be free to play safely. The decor was really stylish and the whole feel of the cottage was welcoming. The provision of all the games and books kept everyone entertained and we slept well in the comfy beds. We recommend a visit to the Cotswolds water park for active families for kayaking, aqua venture and paddle boarding etc but it’s quite pricey ! For pub food we went to The Somerford Arms great atmosphere and only 5 minutes drive away. For your food shopping there is an Aldi or Waitrose 15 minutes drive away. Thanks again
