Cottage holiday rentals in Sommières

Despite the weather, we had a lovely weekend. The accommodation is amazing, between the pool, sauna and jacuzzi. Gregory responds quickly to messages. We visited the surrounding area through the waterfall of the sautadet which is beautiful and the Pont du Gard which is incredibly.

The rental is as described. The place is quiet and peaceful with a nice view of the Gardiole. The bedding is of good quality . The host was very helpful and responsive to our requests. The only small downside is the state of the garden furniture, which should be changed.

Vincent and Vanessa are wonderful hosts, they welcomed us in person when we arrived and made us feel at home very quickly, even helping us carry our bags to the house where we were staying and explaining how everything works. This AirBnB is a wonderful traditional house in a beautiful and peaceful location, with stunning views and a private swimming pool. A true paradise! We arrived with our electric car and our hosts made their charging point available to us, which was extremely useful and convenient. There are plenty of positive things to note, but we especially appreciated the comfy beds, the friendly approach, the quietness, atmosphere and attention to detail. Top marks!

Kevin is a very responsive and accommodating host, we arrived late and he waited for us, in addition he helped us out by providing a travel cot. The accommodation is great, especially the terrace and jacuzzi, the air conditioning is a real plus. If we want to be picky, there are no curtains in the bedrooms for the light and a small barbecue but really it's great. We will not hesitate to come back

Excellent stay at the Mazet cottage. Very clean, comfortable beds and fully equipped. The exterior is perfect, with no neighbors in sight except for the birds! The setting is beautiful, very quiet, with a very popular pool and spa. Vanessa and Vincent are warm and available We recommend it without hesitation

Great stay with the family, in a very welcoming setting, conducive to good family meals and long afternoons in the garden! Very nice access to the river. Philippe and Sophie are very welcoming, attentive and very available. We would have stayed a few more days to enjoy a little more of this great place, both for the place and for the hosts!

Both very tasteful and practically renovated house. All comforts present. Beautiful large swimming pool, shade areas under the olive trees. Garden lighting to the professionally landscaped jeu de boule court makes the view over the large ( completely walled ) grounds except during the day and in the evening. Philip and Christian are super welcoming and helpful. Our holiday with 3 adult children and a dog ( swimming river for the dog within walking distance) was great !

A great stay at Pascale's, in a beautiful location, with superb views of the Cévennes forests from the terrace. Pascale is great, and has excellent advice on things to do in the area, it was a pleasure to interact with her! The village is within walking distance, allowing you to go for a drink at the small restaurant, and you can go hiking from the cottage by following perfectly marked trails. In short, it's great, don't hesitate!

Our stay at Alice's house went very well. Ideally located between land, sea and mountains, we were able to enjoy the beautiful region and all it has to offer. Alice was a welcoming and caring host. Communication was fluid and precise. The accommodation is timeless, in a good way! We were able to disconnect from everyday life by enjoying the calm offered, the beautiful weather and the good smells of garrigue. Many quality artisans all around in the surrounding villages. Nîmes 20/30 minutes away, Uzès, Pont du Gard, vineyards, rivers, bulls... I can only recommend it! Thanks again Alice for making your beautiful home available on Airbnb.

Pleasant stay, pleasant accommodation, well-equipped.

In our opinion, this accommodation is an absolute gem. The house has been renovated to a very high standard (new windows, mosquito nets) and the garden invites you to relax. There is also a shaded area near the pool at any time of day and we had great fun making pizza in the outdoor wood pizza oven. The entire property is fenced and the pool area is fenced separately, which was very practical for us with a dog. We hope to come back soon!

We had a wonderful week at the gite. Since we were traveling by public transport, Joel picked us up at the bus stop. Ghislaine and Joel were super good hosts They showed us the way across their property to the river and gave us many more tips. We felt very comfortable in the house, in the garden and in the vicinity. It was ideal for simply traveling in nature, hiking, swimming in the river and reading in the garden. The Cévennes are beautiful - we'll be happy to come back.

Andrew and Caroline were excellent hosts and very accommodating. The property is beautiful and set in an extremely peaceful location. Lots of good walking routes accessible straight from the front door and a beautiful large pool to cool off in. Quissac is easily accessible and has a small but good selection of shops and restaurants, the local market on a Wednesday is a must.

After a ride on an adventurous road, we came to a beautiful place. The views are magnificent. The pool is wonderful. The cottage itself is tastefully decorated with a lot of art, also from Chantal himself. Chantal is very attentive and authentic. The house is full of history. There is only WiFi in the bedroom. Cooking in the kitchenette is a bit of a challenge if you want to cook extensively, but we managed fine. We had a wonderful time. A place to come back again.

We had a great stay, the house is large and well furnished and the pool is very nice. Franck and his team are very friendly and very responsive. The only downside is the outdoor equipment: the terrace that is near the house does not have sufficient outdoor lighting, nor adequate protection from the sun (Franck kindly brought us a parasol but it would take several). The furniture is old (cement table and benches) and should be replaced with something more comfortable and in line with the rental price. The same goes for the old charcoal barbecue, which doesn't match the other amenities.

We enjoyed the stay very much and felt very comfortable in the cottage as well as in the large garden. Animals could be observed directly from the window. We would come back.

We had a fantastic stay at Rose’s place. Everything was perfect: tasteful, original decoration, lots of nice details, plentiful space, a very well-equipped kitchen, a beautiful and sizable pool, and a sizable garden with expansive views and shade at all times of the day. Although located in a charming little village, the property enjoys full privacy and complete calm. The kids loved the facilities and the toys, and the caretaker was very friendly and helpful. The surrounding area is quiet, but there are cute villages, towns, and sights to explore within easy driving distance. We hope to return!

Sylvie’s villa is absolutely incredible. It felt like a home away from home. The views are breathtaking and the villa itself is modern, clean and has lots of facilities for all the family. We stayed with our 4 month baby and Sylvie went above and beyond with making sure we had everything we needed. We travelled from England and had a very long journey and ended up changing the check-in time multiple times to due traffic and Sylvie was fantastic and was there when we arrived. Sylvie made herself available for help if we needed it and mentioned she was only 10 mins away. The garden and pool area is unbelievably nice and was very well used while we were. We would love to stay at this villa again in the future and recreate memories with our daughter when she is older. I recommend everyone who is after a quiet, relaxing time away to book this villa.
