Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Sonafluca

This place was absolutely perfect for what we needed for our family of 4. Our boys are teenagers and were fine sleeping in the room separate from the house. Everything was as expected and communication was great. Views were gorgeous as described. One of our most favorite stays in Costa Rica.

Karla is a wonderful host. She greeted us at her home and took us to our rental. She gave us a tour of the home and even left us fresh fruit & Coca-Colas. The home is beautiful but the backyard is the most magical part. Beautiful flowers and a beautiful seating area to hang out in. And the view of the river? Wow! Absolutely beautiful. My husband loved being able to walk down to the river to bird watch and my personal favorite was the tiny little frogs. It is an oasis! We had a very minor problem with some tiny ants, but Karla was quick to provide a solution. She is kind, responsive & all around the perfect host! She has also gone above & beyond to ensure that you feel safe with so many different safety measures. And I can’t forget to mention that the beds are so comfy! We all slept like babies! We love Karla and you will too!

Daiana’s home was wonderful. We only spent 24 hours in Monteverde and we are so glad we chose this house. Our host was accommodating with a late check out, always responsive, the house is well appointed and it was such a beautiful place. Loved our time here! Phenomenal view!

We had an amazing time. The place is a short drive from La fortuna falls and walkable distance from the river. About 25mins drive to get to Arenal. Easy to find and has parking right out the door. There are plenty of restaurants a short drive away. Camilo was also very kind and gave us great local recommendations and helped us plan to make most of our time. Would definitely recommend.

We had an amazing stay here! The location was easy to find and not too far from the airport. There were definitely lots of local stores and restaurants to visit near by. We recommend Resturante Ross! The views especially early morning were amazing overall we have no complaints. Our favorite part was visiting the farm animals! Oscar was so nice and welcoming.

Great place to stay! Nice view of the mountains, big rooms and good kitchen. Good location to do some activities in the area. We only stayed for one night but we could check-in early en enjoyed our stay!

We absolutely fell in LOVE with the charming town of Monteverde and Jarvey and Flors place was the perfect location to rest our tired bodies!!!!! We loved the adventurous road leading to the house and the quiet peace and tranquility that awaited us! We arrived to find a basket of goodies including fresh pineapple and banana, chips, cold water, fresh local bread, cheese, and jam, and champagne! Jarvey was so kind and responsive and checked in on us personally a couple of times! We exchanged a lovely hug upon departure and I'll be forever grateful for their kindness and hospitality! The house itself is immaculate and cozy and the hot tub and patio couldn't be any more peaceful and beautiful! The views were amazing and the birds and flowers and bumblebees were the perfect addition to the serenity. The wifi may be a bit spotty, but we actually enjoyed that part! We cozied up in fluffy blankets on the couch and totally enjoyed our stay! Thanks again Jarvey and Flor!!!!!

We loved our stay here! Everything was clean, AC worked well, and we felt very safe. Parked our rented car in front without a problem. Carlos was super friendly and responsive to our questions. Very comfortable, I would definitely recommend.

Andrea is THE Best host I have ever had! She was always quick to respond with helpful and great recommendations. Her place was very comfortable for my family of 4 very close to everything Monteverde has to offer.

A great base for a couple exploring the Monteverde area. The studio is well equipped & very comfortable. The location is great, easy to drive to, also easy to walk to restaurants & shops in Santa Elena. The floor to ceiling windows in the studio give great forest views & we saw many birds. Highly recommended.

Yesenia and her son are wonderful hosts. We were warmly greeted by her son upon arrival and immediately felt welcome. The accommodation corresponded exactly to the photos and the description – everything was very clean and well maintained. For a short stay, everything necessary was available. The location is a bit outside the center, but pleasantly quiet. Everything was easily accessible with your own car. We felt very comfortable and can definitely recommend the accommodation.

Rocio provided great detail of information to ensure I was equipped to have a smooth self check in process. The best part of this place was its proximity to everything in La Fortuna. Additional, the two AC kept the whole place cool!

Tom was very helpful as we had a late check in, he left us very clear instructions and photo with how to get in allowing us to get in with ease. We were really please as La Fortuna is a little built up so staying just outside gave us so much more peace, we did have a car however so not 100% how easy it is by bus. I spoke to Tim while I was there and he was very friendly helping with any questions I had while also giving me lots of recommendations and tips for the local area. The place was kept very clean and tidy and Toms family living nearby were all very kind/helpful with any questions I had. Also always asking if we wanted fresh coconut of the trees in the garden 🥥 thank you Tom and your team 😃

Absolutely loved our stay here! The balcony is the true highlight—perfect for watching wildlife. We spotted 54 bird species on the property, including the charismatic Three-wattled Bellbird, watched a troop of nine monkeys, and even saw a compost-diving coati—all from the comfort of the balcony. The hosts were fantastic at communicating, and the lodging was clean, comfortable, and exactly as pictured. All the amenities and equipment worked perfectly, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals for a week. There’s also a small grocery and bakery conveniently located across the street. The location is excellent—within a 10-minute walk you’ll find Curi Cancha Reserve, Bajo del Tigre, the Monteverde Waterfall, and the Crandall Reserve, which is accessible directly from the property. There is some occasional road noise from motorcycles and milk trucks, but the incredible wildlife and comfort more than make up for it. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a front-row seat

Both Gabriela and her husband were so kind to us, they were attentive to making our stay the best, they gave us soursop that came from their tree as well as coconuts 10/10

Where can I start....This is my first time to La Fortuna and we had a great vacation with the help of Gregory. Gregory's is a great host and his property is one of a kind which suits well for La Fortuna environment with lot of nature to enjoy inside his property. He helped in almost everything including recommending a nice Chef Gabriel.

A small, cozy space, but above all very clean and tidy.

Great value for money here. The apartment that we stayed in was nice. It was peaceful. No noise. At the same time a short walk to the city center. A good restaurant nearby. The area had good safe parking. I will definitely be recommending this place. I would gladly return. Best place I've stayed in La Fortuna. Highly recommended. Air conditioning and well-equipped kitchen. The beds were good. The sofa and TV were impeccable. We had a great time. Thank you so much for us.

We had a wonderful stay at Sol y Luna in La Fortuna. The accommodations are charming just as pictured and we were happy to have this little oasis to come back to every night. We were contacted by Susana to have a new stove installed one morning, unfortunately the timing didn't work for us. The hosts respected our privacy and I presume the stove was installed after we checked out. Thank you for sharing a little piece of paradise with us.

Room with a balcony overlooking the mountains and the Nivoya peninsula in the distance, breathtaking! The balcony and bedroom are spacious and well maintained! The beds are cozy! The common room, well equipped, is welcoming and a harmonious and spiritual atmosphere is present! High-end, well-maintained hot pool and bath! In monteverde, the hot bath was served, against all expectations one evening at 15 degree Celcius!

The place was very private and safe, all accommodations as described. Very close to the city center. If I had to nitpick, the mattress was extremely hard as well as the pillows. Everything else was amazing, Cristian is very responsive and proactive.
