“Don't Forget Me” Cottage – Verzasca Valley

Verzasca Valley, Ticino, Gerra, Chalet Basarom

It is a rustic chalet with charm, which in 1850 was a stable, later restored. Surrounded by the nature of the mountains in Gerra Verzasca (850m), it is an oasis of peace. Divided into two floors: on the ground floor is the spacious bedroom with bathroom and on the first floor an open space consisting of a kitchen with a bar counter, a living room with a sofa bed and a dining table. From the upper floor you can access the terrace where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the woods and the surrounding mountains.

Two 300-year-old stone houses with original granite roofs — your own little hamlet, a stone's throw from Lavertezzo and the emerald green Verzasca. There is no one else here. Directly behind the houses is the chestnut forest; opposite is a waterfall. At night, you hear nothing but the river and crickets. Both houses together; 300 m², a total of 5 rooms (including 3 bedrooms), 12 sleeping places, 2 kitchens, 2 bathrooms, 2 fireplaces, 2 terraces and a shady garden — all connected, all for you.

The dock of Villa Sardagna

The Darsena di Villa Sardagna, since 1720 belonging to the noble villa of the same name in Blevio, is a one-of-a-kind open space, made of ancient stone, white wood and glass. It overlooks a splendid panorama characterized by the historic Larian villas, including the Grand Hotel Villa D'Este. It offers a magnificent sunbathing terrace, ideal for romantic sunset aperitifs. Upon reservation, it offers breakfast, lunch and dinner service, as well as boat-renting and limousine taxi boats.

Casa Valeggia is located in a quiet residential area. The house has many windows and sun in charming position above the village of Maggia overlooking the waterfall of the Valle del Salto, nestled in a tropical garden, fully fenced and with a small swimming pool. Close to the house there is the possibility to swim in the river or at the waterfall. Recommended for people seeking tranquility, hikers and in search for privacy and contact with nature. Breath the fresh air from the valley.

Each morning, the mobile baker brings fresh bread to the main piazza, and in the evening, you can enjoy local cuisine at the village’s own restaurant.

You arrive by boat. No road, no car, no traffic — just a red cottage on the water in a village that time forgot, and the boat is yours for the whole stay (no licence needed). Two bedrooms, a fireplace, a covered terrace over the lake, and a garden of old trees with a wood-fired pizza oven and BBQ. Kayak and paddleboard included. A full briefing on arrival, and we're a message away for anything. This isn't a resort. It's the lake, your own boat, and your own pace.

Berghütte Arnau, Canton of Ticino Maggiatal

We rent our lovingly furnished mountain hut in the Maggiatal Valley, Canton of Ticino. Built in 1866, the Rustico was completely renovated in 2021 and is located on Mount Arnau, above the village of Giumaglio, at an altitude of 1000 m. The hut is only accessible on foot and requires a two-hour hike uphill. It offers everything for a cozy and relaxing stay. We look forward to your visit. Charming rustic cottage in a small hamlet of Gerra Verzasca. Ideal for 2 people max. Arranged on three floors. On the ground floor, there is the kitchen with a fireplace and dining table. A spiral staircase leads to the first floor where the living room with access to the balcony is located. Also on the first floor is the bathroom with shower and washbasin. In the attic on the top floor is the bedroom/study.

The two original Rustici are located just outside Frasco in a clearing. Easily accessible by car. Parking on the premises. The property includes the two houses, a large playground and sunbathing lawn and the adjacent forest. The houses are well furnished. All rooms have a bathroom/toilet or shower toilet. Guest toilet in the main house.
