Accommodation in La Chunga was an experience. Everyone was very friendly, the nature is beautiful, 10/10 ❤️ Thank you K + M 🇨🇿

Johanna's place is a real oasis. There were many things that made it feel so: sleeping so close to the river, being able to wake up and walk down to the water, cooking in the open kitchen with a view, finding stillness in the garden so easily, practicing movement in the open shala while enjoying all the shades of green, the singing birds, the howling monkeys... Johanna was helpful and responsive in preparation of and during my stay. Her recommendations were spot on. I was also able to take a yoga class with her and other locals, which was really nice. The location is really good too: isolated enough from the busyness, but close to Guadalajara, Nuevo Arenal and Tilaran. This place is a hidden gem, I cannot believe how lucky I was to stumble upon it here. If you're doubting whether to book a stay here, just do it.

Una joya escondida entre árboles y cariño Pasamos un fin de semana inolvidable en este rincón de paz en Panamá. Desde el primer momento, Fernando y Mariel nos recibieron como si fuéramos viejos amigos. Su calidez, sus historias de vida, y el amor con el que han construido este espacio se sienten en cada rincón del lugar. El río cercano, el canto de los pájaros y la tranquilidad del entorno hacen de este sitio un verdadero refugio del ruido cotidiano. Pero lo que realmente hace especial esta experiencia es la energía que ellos han sembrado con los años: una mezcla de hospitalidad, sencillez y alma. Más que un alojamiento, es una experiencia humana. Nos fuimos recargadas, con sonrisas, y con el corazón lleno. Gracias por tanto, Fernando y Mariel. Este no será nuestro último encuentro.

Já havia ido em 2017 para o chalé, amei. Fui novamente esse ano (2025) e está ainda melhor. O anfitrião super pró ativo e de fácil comunicação. O chalé extremamente limpo e bem arrumado. Valeu a pena. Espero poder voltar novamente.

Absolutely incredible house in the cloud forest of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Amazing architecture with breathtaking views of Santa Marta and the Caribbean Sea. If you are looking for a private secluded spot to check out and really enjoy natural surroundings this is definitely the place to go. Short drive to the awesome mountain town of Minca with lots of hiking..great restaurants..and laid back vibe. Esteban was onsite to greet us and overly accommodating. Incredible guy who was there to assist in any way possible. One recommendation..if you are renting a vehicle ensure you have a 4X4 for the last mile up the mountain road to his house. I was able to make it with a smaller suv but have experience in driving those types of conditions so not recommended. You can also park at the base and get a ride up if you prefer. Highly recommend booking this place and will go back!!!

el lugar realmente precioso, coincidía totalmente con las descripcion y fotos. lleno de arias verdes, muy tranquilo y de niche un cielo estrellado inolvidable. alvaro respondía con muy buena disposición a todas las dudas se surgieran en el momento y muy amable. sin duda volveré a ir.

A dream location if you are looking for privacy and living in nature. Jonathan & his team are doing anything to make you feel comfortable. Extremely helpful and super friendly. Highly recommended - we hope to be back in the future.

Hermoso lugar. Vine con una visita para que conociera Pichilemu y gracias a este lugar, se enamoró de Pichi. Nicolás muy amable y atento. Totalmente recomendable, acceso directo a la playa.

Lo que más destacamos fue la hospitalidad del anfitrión, siempre atento y dispuesto a ayudarnos con cualquier duda o recomendación local. Sin duda volveríamos y lo recomendamos 100%. ¡Gracias por hacer nuestra experiencia tan agradable!

Un lugar excepcional para desconectarte, la vista es espectacular, la tranquilidad y el aire que se respira valen totalmente la pena. Memo estuvo atento todo el tiempo, siempre dispuesto con su equipo a brindarnos el mejor servicio. Es importante indicarle a Memo las condiciones de las personas que asistirar ya que la subida al Eco Hotel es bastante inclinada a través de la montaña y adicionalmente se debe tener en cuenta que si se hacen planes en el embalse se debe subir y bajar siempre; En nuestro caso solo escojimos un plan corto en el embalse y lo demás lo disfrutamos en la cabaña.

Maravilloso lugar. La habitación es cómoda y amplia, la vista es hermosa. El lugar es absolutamente tranquilo, para descansar. La comida estuvo deliciosa. David fue muy amable y en general siempre estuvo pendiente y dispuesto para lo que necesitamos. Muy recomendado :)

We loved our stay at the Botanical Gardens! It was a unique experience to be immersed in nature, yet still close to town. Waking up to the sight of little monkeys, birds, and other rescued animals was truly special. The gardens are filled with a variety of beautiful plants, flowers, and trees — a true paradise for nature lovers. Everything was just as described, and Denisse was a great host, offering helpful local recommendations and keeping communication smooth throughout. Just a small note for future guests: the accommodation has quite open acoustics, so sounds from the building and nearby rooms carry a bit. Also, access can be tricky during heavy rain, as mototaxis may struggle with the muddy path — something to keep in mind when planning your transport. That said, these were minor aspects of an otherwise wonderful and memorable stay!

El refugio Pachamama es un lugar muy ameno para quedarse. Las fotos quedan cortas alado de la belleza natural del lugar y el amor que le ponen Vivi y Dyogo al mismo. Ibamos con expectativas altas de los desayunos por los comentarios que habíamos leído y estas fueron gratamente superadas, todo delicioso. Hay un sendero hasta la playa que a paso lento te lleva unos 25 minutos y vale la pena ya que es totalmente disfrutable el adentrarte en la naturaleza. Recomendamos ampliamente la estadía aquí!

La estadía en la propiedad fue excelente, la cabaña es mucho más bonita en persona que en fotos y todo estaba muy limpio. Las personas que nos recibieron muy atentas, amables y serviciales. El lugar es muy tranquilo y nos encantó todo. Definitivamente volveríamos a quedarnos aquí!

La cabaña es muy cómoda y está muy bien aislada por lo que se mantiene abrigada súper. Además de estar muy bien distribuida. El entorno súper tranquilo y perfecto para descansar. Súper amigable para ir sin auto, Felipe, el anfitrión, nos fue a buscar al pueblo el primer día y nos llevo hasta la cabaña indicándonos todo el camino. También nos ofreció hasta transfer un día que tenía tiempo para hacerlo y fue súper buen guía turístico en el camino al parque nacional conguillo, recomendadísimo. Nos dotó todos los días que estuvimos con leña para abrigar la cabaña y estaba muy preocupado en todo momento de que todo funcionara excelente. Volveremos si o si.

Nós adoramos a nossa estadia no quarto, apesar de termos ido em um dia chuvoso tem ar condicionado quente e o quarto é super confortável. O Bruno o anfitrião foi super receptivo, e amigável, a hidromassagem conseguimos aproveitar também, foi ótimo e estava super quentinha, os locais de uso coletivos super legais, tem vídeo game, nós concerteza voltaremos em breve, foi maravilhoso! Super recomendo.

Believe all of the 5-star reviews! Malekus Mountain Lodge is pure magic. We were a family of ten ranging in age from 75 to 11, and couldn’t have asked for a better base for our Costa Rican adventures. Each couple had their own room and bathroom which were very clean and comfortable, even without A/C. Fans were provided in every room and it cooled down considerably at nighttime. The communal space, living room and pool area are amazing, and the gardens, trails, bridges and ponds are absolutely stunning. We couldn’t believe how lucky we were to have the place all to ourselves and experience the hospitality of Roger and Rosie and their dog, Bruno. They were wonderful hosts, providing delicious breakfasts, insights into the flora and fauna, and recommendations for restaurants, activities and guides that truly felt authentic - we were usually the only North Americans around. Being conversational in Spanish is helpful. Rent a 4WD and be ready for adventure!

El alojamiento es estupendo, nos encantaron las habitaciones , el espacio era precioso y los desayunos muy ricos, con una ubicación perfecta y lo mejor fue el trato que recibimos de Marine, Francine e Ismael, con el que hicimos una maravillosa caminata diurna y nocturna por la selva. Además, tuvimos el placer de hacer dos maravillosas excursiones con el inigualable Don José. Esperamos poder volver pronto a Puerto Nariño, que nos ha robado el corazón. ❤️

Our stay in Upala was peaceful and full of beautiful surroundings! The cook, Dinia, was so welcoming and accommodating! The pool was clean and my kids favorite part! Probably could put a weather strip at the bottom of the sliding cabin doors to help keep bugs out but otherwise the cabin and sleeping hearing the rain on the metal roof each night was so memorable!

It was such a unique experience! I loved being up in the air among the trees surrounded by nature! The staff was so helpful and attentive! Delivered everything to the treehouse at my request and were always accessible! It was such a great feeling to be surrounded by nature and at the same time have modern comforts! I got the best of both words! Although I did take advantage and disconnected for a while which was easy to do in the best way! I definitely will be returning and sharing this experience with a guest or two!

Wir fühlten uns direkt wie Zuhause, die Unterkunft hat einen wunderschönen Ausblick in die Natur, hier konnten wir viele Vogelarten beobachten. Das Grundstück ist sehr gepflegt, gefüllt mit einer großen Vielfalt von außergewöhnlichen Pflanzen. Die Unterkunft liegt ca. 30 min von La Fortuna mit dem Auto entfernt, wir haben uns bewusst dazu entschieden um dem Trubel zu entfliehen. Mariela war sehr aufmerksam und herzlich, alles lief reibungslos. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

si quieres estar metido en la serva sin estar lejos de la ciudad, tener visitas ocasionales de animales y despertar frente al rio tambopata, este es el lugar. recomendamos la experiencia, es hermoso lugar y la vista del rio con la orilla contraria este es el lugar. además Jaime y su equipo te haran sentir como un viejo amigo, ojo es la selva y vas a tener visitas de insectos en la habitación si no cierras la puerta. este creo que es el lugar donde experimentaras la selva sin estar muy lejos de la ciudad, puedes comer en un rico restaurante y luego tomar un taxi al lugar y despues de comer en un par de restaurantes... comimos mas rico y sabroso con Jaime, la señora que cocina lo hace muu bien, es sano pero sabroso.

Boato hotel was AWESOME! I loved almost everything about it. A place I'd definitely come back. Close to Guatapé and to the places I wanted to visit. Totally recommended!
