From the sauna you can jump into the lake, whose sandy bottom deepens gently. Good road to the house and good opportunities for outdoor activities, mushroom picking and berry picking in the environment. Barbecue canopy, 2 bicycles, 2 kayaks and a rowboat are also at your disposal.

Pikkumökki-cottage is a cosy, traditional log cottage with a magnificent view over the lake Saimaa. The cottage has an open common area (livingroom and kitchenette) and a sleeping alcove. Sauna is in the same building with an own entrance. There is no shower, but you wash yourself with a refreshing lakewater. There is no watertoilet, but traditional dry eco toilet in a separate building. A big terrace and a grill for barbeque. There is a small bungalow next to the cottage, with beds for two.

Putkola Cottage Finland

Find your peace in a classic Finnish cottage with a sauna in the immediate vicinity of Lake Kivenkänä in South Karelia. The cottage is electrified, service water must be carried from the lake, guests must bring their own drinking water. Dry toilet. Not far from the cottage is the Kyläkuppila Käpälämäki bar, where in addition to the classic offer of drinks and meals, you can also buy basic groceries, various consumer goods, and fishing permits. I have a few Air bnb apartments in same building. Building it self has been built 1906 its a strong building with 70cm thick brick walls. Hole building is totally re-built by my self. My own apartment win "Luxury houses of Finland" TV series a few years a go. This Air bnb flat is 32m2 with Sauna, its a quiet place towards of lake Saimaa and only 600m from town center of Lappeenranta. We try to show apartment ourselves and give the key when its possible but we can put key also to Mastelock.

Here you can enjoy nature and total peace just a 10 min. car drive from Savonlinna centre. You have a good chance of spotting the endangered Saimaa ring seal, often swimming in front of the cottage. Both the cottage and the sauna are just a few meters from the lake shore. There is a rowing boat for guests to use.
