Dongchonjae is located in Seochon Village, close to Gwanghwamun Square and Gyeongbokgung Palace in the heart of Seoul. Dongchonjae, built about 100 years ago, is a traditional hanok that has been officially certified by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Korea Tourism Organization. Dongchonjae has been operating since October 2020, when a retired couple opened their home to guests. Dongchonjae is located on a 380.17 m² plot of land. It consists of one building, and the space is divided into the main building (Anche/Main) House), Sarangchae/Detached House, and Annex. Guests have exclusive use of the Main House and the Annex. The host is in a separate building. You will be staying in a detached house, and we will personally assist you with necessary services such as providing breakfast. We hope you can comfortably experience the tranquil beauty and subtle atmosphere of a traditional hanok at Dongchonjae. Please double-check the address before coming! Address: 7-26, Hwarang-ro 28beon-gil Old, traditional Hanok, so it shows its age. All bedding is always freshly replaced, and as it was my grandfather’s home, it’s lovingly maintained and kept clean. Unlike a typical Hanok village, this home is in a local Gyeongju neighborhood. Stay in a real Hanok and experience the authentic charm of Gyeongju! It will surely be a special experience. I can confidently say it will be special.
