Holiday rentals with beach access in South Portland

Loved this location! I am so glad I could stay here and explore the East End for a few days before my work trip in Downtown Portland. Perfect for a solo traveler or couple. FYI for anyone else - there’s no living room or designated area to lounge but that did not make a difference to me. Would definitely stay here again! Thank you, Sarah!

Adina’s airbnb is in an incredible location—we were able to walk to all of the restaurants we wanted to visit easily and it was only a 10-15 minute ride from the airport. The airbnb itself was perfect for my brother and I, since there is a bed and a pull-out couch that were both suitable. Adina was very good at anticipating our needs and at making sure everything was going well with our stay—she’s a wonderful host! Whenever I decide to stay in Portland again, I would be grateful to stay at her place.

it's a magical location and such a well appointed apartment. as someone who has hosted on airbnb, I really appreciated all the amenities they had. the hosts are so dope as well. you cannot go wrong with the place, the location, or the vibe.

We loved staying at Amelia’s place! It is super cute and even more spacious than the photos show. Our group of 5 had plenty of room to spread out in 2 living spaces and a big kitchen. We loved the location. It’s very walkable to the Eastern Promenade, restaurants, bakery, and even into Old Port and other areas of Portland. Amelia was very responsive, helpful, and friendly. We would love to stay at Amelia’s place again.

We absolutely loved our stay. The space is beautiful—whoever decorated it seriously needs to start an interior design business! It just felt so cozy and thoughtful, every little detail had a purpose. The location couldn’t have been better—close and walkable to everything.

My wife and I stayed at Lisa's place for 3 days arriving very late on the first night. Lisa was very accommodating to our late arrival. The place was clean, very comfortable with a very well lit entrance, very safe for late night. The next day, we woke up and saw we were in a gorgeous area of the city and could walk to all the places we planned. Lisa had put together some information on local events for us and had sent us several links with information that we appreciated greatly. I could say a lot of things about the unit, but the best part was Lisa herself. This was the first time I had actually met a host and she was extremely friendly and engaging. I would stay here again or in any unit associated with Lisa.

An absolute gem of a place in the perfect location. You can walk anywhere from it, it’s in the action but also quiet at the same time. Was the perfect place for the perfect trip. Heidi was so nice and helpful!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful beachfront home with our extended family, including a total of 6 adults and 5 kids. We had two additional adults spend one night, there was plenty of room for everyone. The house was spacious, comfortable, and perfectly suited for a group of our size. The location is unbeatable, right on Drakes Island Beach, with incredible views and direct access to the sand. While we didn’t go in the water, we spent plenty of time relaxing on the beach, walking along the shore, and enjoying the peaceful setting. The home was clean, well-maintained, and stocked with everything we needed. The large deck and open living spaces gave us plenty of room to spend time together and unwind. This was a perfect spot for a relaxing family getaway, and we’d absolutely return again. Highly recommended!

This was our second year staying at Don’s and it was great as always! Beautiful space, clean, updated, and well stocked kitchen/linens. Location to the beach can’t be beat and all the beach things you’d need are available for use. Don and Sue are both wonderful and we look forward to future stays.

We came here for a private getaway on our honeymoon and it did not disappoint. The price was a bit much, but for such a special time I felt it was worth it at the time I booked, and worth it it certainly was. beautiful, quiet, serene, it was perfect for a getaway. I would absolutely recommend, and I already have, this stay. 10/10

This house was perfect for me and my guests! All 7 of us fit perfectly, It didn’t feel too overcrowded! We loved the beautiful view off the deck and the hot tub was an amazing touch! The house was very clean and had everything we could’ve needed. I loved how clear the instructions were for everything and how responsive the hosts are if you need anything!

My family of four (two adults, 8 &6yo) stayed at Carol’s for a fall break visit to Portland. Carol was responsive ahead of the trip and flexible with our check-in time. She stayed in another guest house on the property. She checked on us at arrival and was friendly and respectful with every interaction. The location was perfect. Walking distance to the Eastern Prom park and other neighborhood spots. 5 mins to all other places in the East End and Old Port. Plus easy to get to places north and south. The house was just the right space for us.

We loved our stay (late May, 2025). The weather did not cooperate but the house was perfect. Thank you Debbi!

The host was very accommodating and responsive! The place was spotless clean and even left us a complimentary bottle of wine. Would 100% recommend staying here! Perfect size for 4 people

Wonderful little spot very close to the beach. Plenty of places to walk to from the location as well as a short drive to Old Orchard Beach. Would come back in a heartbeat!

Great place to stay if you want to be close to downtown but with a larger, comfortable space. The place is exactly as described, exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated. No dollar store products here! The ground coffee and half and half really made it feel like we were staying at a friend’s home.

Great location (definitely check out Pedro’s across the street). The place was clean and well stocked with necessities. Beds were comfortable, pillows were good, curtains would have been nice due to the early sunrises.

Julie’s place was very nice and very clean. The location was great, right across the street from the ocean. The kitchen was well-equipped and there was even a small basket of treats. Julie responded very quickly to any messages we sent. We would highly recommend this place.
