Pet-friendly holiday rentals in South Sikkim

It's tucked away in the beautiful and untouched Himalayan village of Lopchu. Keshav and his family were incredibly warm — their hospitality was truly something else. I stayed here with my older parents, and we were made to feel completely at home, like part of the family. Getting there can be a bit tricky, but with Keshav around to guide you, it’s totally manageable. I’d love to come back and stay longer next time. P.S. You can take a peaceful walk around the tea garden nearby. They also served us lovely homely food for dinner at a very reasonable price.

What's special about this place? EVERYTHING!! 1. Hospitality: to be honest ...it didn't feel like we were away from home for even once. The owners are very warm hearted, loving and take care of everything without even leaving anything to complain about. They even invited us in for traditional drink - Tongba (I am sorry, if i have murdered the spelling). It was really inspiring to see how they have preserved their traditional values like this. 2. Location: This place little bit off the main road which leads to the most amazing feature of this place - serenity. You will listen to the rooster at 4 in the morning, the moment sun rises , birds starts chirping. The impeccable view of sunrays falling on the kanchenjunga peak is beyond explanation. And the lush green surroundings with Rhododendrons all over the place will make you fall in love with this place. 3. Food: They cook the food with lot of love and nutrients. Although, sikkim is an organic state but their food quality will make you lick your fingers everytime you take a bite. Cleanliness: Sparkling clean!! That's all I want to say. I just want to give one example about how they took care of every teenie tiny thing when we were there: "They put one pair of scissors for cutting the coffee sachets in the room. " I have never seen such gesture anywhere. I just loved this place .

We enjoyed our stay with our pets at the beautiful homestay. The house is very well maintained and overlooks a valley and a hill. The house has a beautiful garden also. The ambience of the place is very peaceful. Sujata, the owner, cooked tasty meals for us and our pet dogs. Overall a very enjoyable and comforting experience.

A Great play to have a peaceful and beautiful and cozy stay. Far from the urban hustle and bustle. Studded with a beautiful garden and an incredible view. Caretakers were awesome. Our expectations were met and exceeded.

our stay was amazing,talk about location or environment everything was fabulous,if you want a break from the hectic city life,must come here. now besides the view you get from your room and the beautiful place you get there...the people there are beyond outstanding,Rajesh himself is a person with evergreen personality,and every member of his family is equally amazing his mom(her never ending smile and kind gesture made us feel we are in our home only), (the food they prepare is the best actually, throughout our stay we were excited for every meal) overall every thing was outstand. hope to visit there again❤️

Very nice and welcoming people. Both Laxmi ji and his wife made us feel right at home. He treated us like their own family member, always responsive and keen on taking care of us. They've got a picturesque place right at the hilltop, the view was so pristine and beautiful that we felt we should've stared at the mountains and nature all day long. We had a great time there! We thank Laxmi ji and his family from the bottom of our hearts!

The place was absolutely magical! The house was super cozy and good for a group stay. Prayag is an absolutely wonderful host and helps to take care of everything. The view from the place is beautiful , rooms are cozy and clean. Overall - good stay and Would definitely like to come back here :)

I had a wonderful stay at Tongdenlee Homestay! Although the kitchen wasn't available for guest use, the host made up for it by providing absolutely delicious, home-cooked meals that gave a true taste of the local cuisine. One of the highlights of my stay was how smoothly they arranged the Protected Area Permits—everything was handled efficiently and without any issues. The hospitality was warm and thoughtful throughout. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the region with ease and comfort!

This was a wonderful relaxation retreat, The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. There are many "suites" to choose from in this property. The restaurant was lovely, The pool was nice but too cold to use in December.

One of the best in the wilderness around Darjeeling. if you want a quality time away from the hustle bustle of the city, this is the right place. enjoyed every bit of our stay. especially the hospitality and the swimming pool. highly recommended for self or family time.

I am very happy that I booked the place...it was a completely different experience in Airbnb... actual farmstay with beautiful surroundings...cottage in woods... whole night I can hear jungle sounds, water flowing in spring... mesmerizing.... Abhishek, Rohit, Alab and Rohan all are very helpful and responsive... Yes...it's like heaven...a bit far away from Darjeeling of course...but a lot to do in the farmstay itself.

I had an amazing experience staying at this Satori. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and exactly as described. The bed was super comfortable, and all the amenities were well thought out—especially the fully equipped kitchen and fast Wi-Fi, which made my stay extra convenient. The neighbourhood was quiet and safe, yet close to everything I needed—great cafes, shops, and public transport. Check-in was smooth, and the host was incredibly responsive and kind, offering great local tips and making sure I felt right at home. I’d definitely stay here again. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free place to stay!

Cozy stay with amazing views once you reach there

The room and toilet are pretty clean. Beds are comfy. I think you need ask for en-suite room if you need one. Gotta bring your own towels. There are no fans in the room, but it was pleasant during the time we visited. Property has a balcony sit out area, and enjoyed being there. Birding guide and transport with driver were arranged by the homestay. And, both of them are very nice people. Food was so comforting. Small provision stores nearby. Homestay also offered pickup and drop off from Bagdogra airport. No other rooms were occupied, so it was just 2 of us girls, and we felt absolutely safe in the homestay and also during birding activity.

Manohar ji welcomed our family of 5 (including 2 kids) at his very beautiful home for 2 days and we are so delighted that we chose his house for our stay! The home is beautiful - and so peaceful. Manohar ji and his entire team went above and beyond to take care of our needs. He arranged fresh fruits for children, and catered to our multiple different requests, all with a smile! Kids loved the house too.. our best memory was playing hide and seek! He also gave a wonderful recommendation for a local cafe (Art Cafe) and very nicely pre-ordered food for us by calling them so that we didn’t miss the last order (we were running late) All in all - a great stay! Would definitely come again!

The homemade meals prepared by Bhasker and his family were delicious, with a mix of traditional Nepali and Bengali dishes. It truly felt like a home away from home. What stood out the most was Bhasker’s genuine kindness and personal touch. He was always available to help with any requests Overall, if you’re looking for a warm, welcoming, and authentic experience in Darjeeling, I highly recommend staying at Bhasker’s homestay.

Sangay and Karma are great hosts. They take only one group at a time so we (me nd my partner) had the place to ourselves. You can requests the hosts for meal (for a very nominal price) incase you cant head out. The place looks exactly like in pictures and you will have a cozy feeling. The studio has a good vibe. Books to read and art of other students can be seen and enjoyed. Pets on the property are a great bonus.
