Waterfront holiday rentals in South Stormont

Quiet place just a short drive outside town. Place was as described. Clean and spacious. Bed comfy. Lots of towels and pillows. We would definitely stay here again.

This was the perfect snowy getaway we were looking for! The space was even larger then expected, clean, comfortable and very cozy. The views right on the lake were idyllic and we would definitely return here in the summer to take advantage of the water more! The hosts were welcoming and responsive while the space still felt private. Overall this was a peaceful weekend and we would recommend this spot for others to enjoy as well.

We were visiting family in New York and decided to stay at Renee&Desmond's place. The home was easy to find and had all the amenities mentioned in the description. The hosts included places to go around the town and restaurant recommendations. The only thing that I might have overlooked was that it was on the 2nd floor. Overall, it was a positive experience with beautiful views.

Absolutely beautiful location if you need to be in the area! We stayed for Clarkson University graduation and it was very convenient and easy. Gorgeous water view.

Wow!! We had an outstanding time at Dan’s cottage and were blown away by the place. It is very close to the water and has the perfect cottage feel while also being incredibly clean and cozy. The couch space was absolutely perfect for our large group to relax and chat or play games in the center area. The rooms, kitchen, and rooms were all lovely and fully set up. We were especially impressed by the amount of dishes/ tools the kitchen had that made all types of cooking so easy. Not to mention the very spacious fridge and additional bar fridge. The hot tub was lovely and we took advantage of the kayaks, paddle boats, and canoe. Dan was very responsive and any questions we had he happily helped with- though we didn’t have many since all instructions/ tips were thorough and clear. If you are looking for the perfect mix of luxury and all the activities and ambiance you could hope for in a cottage- this is the place!

We stayed at Chris’s place for my brother’s wedding at Bean Town Ranch, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The property is absolutely stunning — right on the riverfront, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. It was the ideal setting for such a special weekend. Chris was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the whole process. We really appreciated being allowed to check in early, as we had to be at the rehearsal by 4pm. That flexibility made a big difference during a busy day. The home was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Thank you again, Chris, for making our stay so smooth and memorable. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

Couldn't of asked for a better place to stay - far exceeded our expectations! Felt right at home, everything we needed to prep food was there. Beautiful house & lakefront that the dogs loved swimming in. Would recommend. We have family near the area so we will definitely be back.

So glad we found this amazing place! It is nestled off the road in a quiet, beautiful location. The downstairs area is spacious, with a pool table and a dart board. The electric fireplace was such a nice addition for the colder than usual evening. Penny was such a great host! Fun filled fact- the space is filled with such pretty photos. I was so interested in them that I looked up the photographer and turns out it was Penny! I ended up purchasing a few pieces and I can’t wait to add them to my space at home! How was clean, neat, and comfortable. I imagine if the weather was better we would have enjoyed the outdoor amenities. It was also very convenient to downtown.

Our three-night stay exceeded all of our expectations. For nature lovers such as ourselves, the tranquil, beautiful setting was ideal. We saw various birds right from the cottage, and numerous others in the nearby reserve. The sunsets and morning light inspired us to paint, draw and photograph, to capture a record of this beautiful place. William is a splendid host. He provided us with historical information about the area and his family’s role in settling and living in it. He is a generous and compassionate man, and inspirational in his devotion to the land and its history. A million thanks, William!

Hello, This was our home for approximately 5 weeks. From the moment we got there, we were received like family. Sarah and Mike were very attentive to our needs and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was amazing. I would highly recommend this home for either short term or long term. Linda's place was perfect! It was very clean, was just like the pictures, and very well designed -- just really beautiful. It is right on the lake and we took full advantage of the outdoor space as well as the kayaks and paddle boards. Linda was an incredibly gracious and responsive host. We would highly recommend her place!

It's a beautiful location with plenty of things to do in the area. You do get your money's worth. It's also close to many shopping amenities for those who prefer not to travel by car to buy groceries or medicine. Overall, a great experience!

Nicest bnb we have stayed at in placid! We had the grounds to ourselves and enjoyed sitting by the lake the first night before it rained the rest of the weekend. The place was cozy and the fireplace was nice for the rainy days. I appreciated the snacks and drinks in the room too!

This rental is nestled on a quiet cul-de-sac in a historic working class neighbourhood of Hull, between the Ottawa River & Gatineau Park. It offers excellent privacy, peace & convenience. With bike paths & hiking trails nearby, it's the ideal spot for cyclists that want direct access to the park while staying close to the city. Nearby bus routes offer rides into downtown Hull & Ottawa. There are convenience stores, a café, gas station, and restaurants at walking distance. The unit is modest but well-kept and very clean, with all the required basics. Self check-in and connecting to the WiFi was easy. Water pressure & hot water were ample. The kitchen was functional. The television had a Netflix account for guests. I enjoyed the interesting variety of books. The linens were clean & the beds were adequate for comfort. Additional lamps would be a positive. The screened back porch is a nice spot to sit with a morning coffee. Thank you to the hosts! I would stay here again in the future.

We had a wonder visit . Our family was visiting from Houston and enjoyed everything. Susan was wonderful. We had to contact her about something, and she responded right away, even thought she was about to board a plane. Everything was just perfect. Thank you for the memories.

Rudy is sincerely a fantastic host. He is a proactive communicator, always offering assistance at all times if it is needed. We certainly felt welcomed into a home. The condo was exactly as described and was very spacious for our group of 8. We truly loved the view of the lake, and even had a wonderful experience at the restaurant just steps away from our place. If/when we come back to lake placid - we will be staying here. The only thing that would be the icing on the cake would be a nice firepit to enjoy the lake evenings. Nonetheless - a wonderful experience. Rudy is the epitome of what an Airbnb host should be!
