Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Southbroom

This was our second time staying in this home, and we loved it yet again! Amazing location and views, great beach vibes and a spacious, comfortable and interesting house with everything we needed. While some of the interior decor looks a little tired, this seems to be due to the natural effects of a coastal location, and it didn’t detract from our stay. The maid, Mosley, was efficient and unobtrusive, and paying her a little extra to come in every day was totally worth it!

This place was the perfect spot for our visit to the beach. Walking distance to a lovely beach for exploring rock pools, plus a perfect, wide open view of the ocean from every spot in the house! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook up some great meals, including a nice Weber braai. Lots of space for kids to play and explore. We would definitely recommend it!

It is a beautiful place. The walk to the beach is about 3 minutes and wildcoast is about 10 minutes away. It is a nice getaway and definitely worth the price.

We were welcomed with a bottle of Seaward wine by Precious who was on hand to clean and do washing and ironing for us like a little cleaning fairy who just somehow alway had everything perfect for us. We really loved the dstv for the cooler evenings. The sea views from every single balcony were second to none and the rocking chair on the patio was my favourite. The garden is huge and our dogs loved it. The house is big and spacious, plenty of room for 3 generations of family without feeling claustrophobic at all. The garage was very handy for storing our trailer in it. There is a full alarm system but we didn’t feel the need to use it because we felt extremely safe. My dad really enjoyed daily walks to Ramsgate spar which is so close by. My husband and I loved watching the sun rise over the ocean from the lounge with coffee in hand! Thank you!

Perfect get away place for family and friends

We enjoyed our stay, the home is beautiful and provides all of the amenities we needed for it to feel like home. The main bedroom included a bunk bed and toys which was great for our little ones. Prudence who is on site to look after the house was also very helpful.

The house was IMMACULATE! The host and the staff were so helpful and welcoming.Mam Annie was so sweet and patient with us.The house was clean and spacious and accommodated all of us as a family. The pictures do not do the house any justice! We will definitely be coming back again but for longer this time ! We LOVED it there❤️

Fantastic home great sea views and a good pool with outside entertainment areas. Perfect for a relaxing holiday with family or friends lots of space and well laid out for privacy when many people are using the facility. Loved the games, books, beach toys and kids toys that were there made the stay very comfortable. Also had plastic cups and plates for the kids which was wonderful. The kitchen had everything one could need and we didn't lack anything. The place is homey. Small niceties were provided like tea, coffee,soap, salt, pepper, oil, ice which helped to ensure we didn't need to buy those annoying things one normally forgets to pack. We had a great stay and can totally recommend the place.

It was just what we wanted a little bit of peace with the ocean at our door step. The house could do with a few upgrades but thats life living at the sea and the salt sea air, it won't however stop us from staying there again! It was safe and had everything we needed for our stay! Thomas the caretaker was there for anything we needed, he was also not intrusive and left us to do our thing! We didnt want to leave and again would definitely book another stay there!

We had an awesome stay at Shale Beach House. It has everything you need; you don't have to drive anywhere. It is such a peaceful private area; the sea is literally on your doorstep. We loved the jacuzzi bath, jacuzzi and rim flow pool and the permanent ice maker, but there is so many things that make it comfortable to stay in! Wilson was a delight to deal with, had a really easy check in, he always around if you need anything. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Nelius for opening up your beautiful home!

We had an incredible stay. Lee-Roy was very good with communication from the day I made the booking, until the day we left. The place is immaculate, with a beautiful clean beach basically in your back yard. The yard is fenced in and safe for pets. Veronica, the housekeeper was great, so kind and helpful and always on time. The house is spacious and I love they they even prepared little beds for my doggies, the attention to detail is so appreciated. We had an incredible stay and it was definitely value for money. A very kind welcome gift also waited for us which was so kind and thoughtful. I highly recommend this place.

This is a gem, the house, the care Ann takes to make it special, the view from every room and the patio- amazing. Best value for money of any place I have stayed all over the world

An amazing place was beautiful and clean, had a super amazing host who was considerate and accommodating we will definitely be back it was just as described in the pictures. We really fell in love what a gem!! We really felt at home. The house has everything you could need on your vacation to make life so much easier.

The stay was so beautiful. We couldn't get any closer to the beach and it was amazing to just open a gate and literally stand on the beach. If you are a nature lover willing to rough it up in a beautiful cozy historic cottage then I will definitely suggest this experience. We had a wonderful stay in Port Edward. My family and I truly enjoyed the serene atmosphere and stunning scenery surrounding the beach house. Our hosts were incredibly welcoming and friendly, which made our experience even more special. The highlight of our family vacation was the breathtaking beach views from every room, as well as the unforgettable sunrises and sunsets that made each day feel magical.

We had a lovely holiday at Captains Cottage. Everything was very neat and the beach is right on your doorstep. Simone is really a fantastic host and she was always there to help us with anything we needed. We are absolutely going back for our next holiday. Such a beautiful stunning serene beach house! Jean Paul and his wife are such amazing souls. The apartment is so trendy and the view is simply breathtaking. This apartment fits the profile of a beach home. My family including my pet dog had an amazing stay and Will definitely return. Thank you.

This a really nice apartment in a good location and secure complex. It’s neat and has good and comfortable furniture. A few hundred meters to the beach with great views and right around the corner from supermarkets. Many great dining options close by and lots of activities close by. This will apartment will always be my first choice when looking for a place to stay on the KZN lower south coast.

Place was as per photos, has 2 fridges plus a freezer, had washing machine and dryer, power went off but back up solar kicked in and lasted more than 6 hours, bedrooms are spacious and lounge very comfortable. Alarm for outside and inside all worked well. Would recommend the place to anyone, 12 of us slept comfortably with room for more. Beach was 10 minute walk and plenty of parking if going by car will be 1 to 2 minute drive, Alex was very helpful and always ready to assist, big yard for the kids to play and a lovely outside fireplace to relax and mingle with the family, has dstv and netflix but no need if you there to relax and have a break.

We had the most wonderful stay. The location is excellent, on the beach with stunning views and close to amenities. The house is well equipped and provided a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We will definitely return!

We had a great long weekend. Host Anna was always checking on us. Walks to the beach was close and very safe. My miniature Yorkie adapted almost immediately I entered the unit. She had a great time. On the overall.... my family had a great relaxing time. Thank you Anna and we will be back.

Thank you for making our wonderful holiday possible. The weather played along well, we visited the beach every day and the fishing was good. Your house immediately became our home, where great memories were made. The whole family: ourselves, son, daughter, their companions, grandma and our furry friend were all comfortably accommodated. The reserve water supply was a life-saver and the safe and secure environment made our stay relaxed and so much more enjoyable. This is a gem of a place. We would love to do this again as soon as possible.

This apartment is truly a lovely place to stay. Beautiful apartment, everything we needed and a view to die for. There are 13 steps going up to the front door, but not a major hassle. I highly recommend this accommodation. Great hosting too. Responsive and helpful.
