Had an amazing stay at this airbnb! Extremely comfortable for 6 people and looks even better than the pictures. We loved having a pool table and plenty of kayaks for everyone. Lisa is an awesome host and went out of her way to make sure our stay was perfect, including restaurant recommendations, a welcoming check in and out and was very communicative throughout the process. P.s.: Don’t skip the Piri Piri restaurant! They have delicious food.

While the place isn't fancy, it is an actual houseboat after all, it was awesome. Comfortable bed but views to die for and you are literally having you morning coffee, watching the sunrise and are literally 1 foot from the water. The river is a very active one...we saw manatee, gators, gar and hundred of mullet jumping out of the water. the best was the shrimp boats at dusk...you really have to experience this place. and ps. walking distance to downtown Apalachicola is a real bonus

My husband and I recently had the absolute pleasure of staying at Lauren's boathouse to celebrate our honeymoon, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! From the moment we stepped inside, we were captivated by how beautiful the house was. The scenic view was simply breathtaking. Waking up to the gentle sounds of the water and the picturesque landscape right outside our window was a dream come true. We spent many peaceful hours just sitting and enjoying the tranquility of the water, which was exactly what we were hoping for in a relaxing honeymoon retreat. Lauren and her team were exceptional hosts. Whenever we needed to reach out, Lauren was incredibly quick to respond and always helpful and friendly. Her attentiveness truly made us feel well taken care of. If you're looking for a charming and intimate house right on the water where you can simply unwind and enjoy the beauty of your surroundings, then look no further! We wholeheartedly recommend the boathouse!

Jay and Theresa's boathouse was absolutely spotless, which we truly appreciated. The setting provided the perfect backdrop for our favorite moments: peaceful mornings sipping coffee while watching the breathtaking sunrise, and tranquil evenings unwinding with a glass of wine as the sun dipped below the horizon. We found the location to be wonderfully quiet, peaceful, and exceptionally private – a true escape.

This was perfect. My wife and I got to have a little get-a-way for her birthday, and this was just what we needed. Absolutely peaceful, more than accommodating hosts, great location and all the amenities we needed and more. I would stay here again and again and this may have convinced us to get our own boat. We need more special moments like this in our lives- thanks Carson and Mia for curating such a great experience. My wife was over the moon surprised from the roses you guys prepped for us, to the evening and morning canoe adventures, to the beautiful, cozy tiny home you guys have done such a great job creating! 100 out of 5 stars from us!

Joseph is an excellent host! Very responsive, proactive, and provides great local tips. We thoroughly enjoyed this unique stay with great fishing and close proximity to restaurants. The houseboat had everything we needed including beautiful sunset views.

I surprised my fiancée for his 40th birthday and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Austin was a great communicator, very responsive and flexible. We didn’t have to reach out to him during our stay because he had already communicated well prior to us arriving! The place was very clean, smelled great and was stocked with not only all of the essentials but also almost anything you could want or need! It is walking distance to the aquarium, restaurants, and shopping. When we weren’t out exploring the city, we loved sitting out on the top deck and just relaxing! Although it’s super close to everything, it is still very quiet and super relaxing, and feels super safe! The rental guys on the pier were also super friendly and gave us some really great recommendations on places to eat and things to do. We will definitely come back, when it’s a little warmer, and we can stay longer, so that we can enjoy some fun on the water next time! You definitely won’t regret staying here!

The stay was great. The owners are close by and available for assistance. Requesting gas everyday day was a little annoying and the tank ran out of water on our last stay. Overall was a good experience.

We had a lovely time for the brief stay at Doctors Lake in the absolutely exceptional Home-a-Wave! we arrived in time to watch the beautiful sunset from the living room and grab a few drinks at the Sunset Tiki Bar where we met some very cool regulars and waiting for our Uber Eats order from Five Star Pizza (omg..BEST Pizza I've had in a very long time!). We had some winds and rain the 2nd night (hello first week of Hurricane Season) but we could not feel much movement at all the entire stay, including when was stormy! Upstairs did not disappoint, The bed was very comfortable, perfectly positioned across from the awesome windows providing a peaceful night waterfront view. We were greeted with a fabulous sunrise view from the deck! Highly recommend this floating dream!!

The host was very helpful! We loved our vacation here! Lots for the kids and adults to do. The beach was very quiet and nice. The house boat had everything we needed. A very peaceful and fun family time!!!

Perfect location for a quiet getaway. Love to wake up and walk across to public beach for sunrise and sit on the dock for sunset!

BEAUTIFUL PLACE!! Awesome cabin and porch out to pond. Got to watch all animals enter act and roam around. Cabin well stocked amenities of every kind. Quiet, peaceful. Great grandchildren absolutely loved the place. Very clean!!

A Truly Stunning Boat House – Even Better the Second Time! This was our second stay at this incredible boat house, and it somehow managed to be even more amazing than we remembered! From the moment we arrived, we were reminded why we fell in love with this place the first time. It’s not just a beautiful property—it’s an experience. The boat house itself is absolutely stunning: immaculate, stylish, and perfectly situated with breathtaking views of the water. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, and it shows. Whether we were sipping coffee on the deck in the morning or watching the sunset in the evening, it felt like pure peace. Peter, the owner, is just as wonderful as the home he shares. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind, he makes everything seamless and stress-free. You can tell he truly cares about his guests having a great experience!!

I was looking for a quiet and peaceful place and found it here. Inside of the home and the screened-in back porch were very clean. The bed was comfortable and we both slept very well. Although there was no WiFi, there was cable TV and a variety of DVDs available for use when we got too hot outside. I was able to forget about all of my responsibilities and just decompress while staying here, which was exactly what I was needing.

Easy to get to Jane's boat, the people were very friendly. The boat was amazing, very cozy, love the desk especially with the weather being great. I strongly recommend to stay there, easy access to and from the boat to downtown. The area is family owned with live music, painting sessions and even guess the songs night. We shall return to Pittsburgh and book at Jane's boat again. That is a guarantee. Thank you

My girlfriend and I just spent 4 of the most amazing days here. Andrew and his team were the most attentive hosts I've ever had on vacation. The boathouse was so cute and the view while sitting on the back patio was so peaceful and serene. We went jetskiing which was located only a few feet away from all the units and Remy, our tour guide, was fantastic. I can't say enough about the way he assisted my girlfriend while she rode by herself for the first time. It was so much fun. We also went parasailing and the guides there, Zack and Jessie, were also awesome. They took our pictures using the photo package which came great. They gave us great recommendations about the things to do nearby, and played such good music on the boat. The view while up in the air was breathtaking, and also took pictures while riding and their photo package gave us great memories from the boat view. My best friend and I stayed at Beth’s, the CUTEST house boat you ever did see! Everything inside was nicely decorated, it did NOT feel like we were on a boat. Not even with the water heat & pressure in the shower—which was just as good as a hotel! Beth was an amazing hostess and gave us all the information we needed for our stay. We will DEFINITELY be back!

Beautiful sunrises, sunsets, scenery. Plenty of wildlife. Even photographed a bald eagle hunting on the river. Plenty of room inside for 3 people. Could barely even notice the creaking and waves at night. Secluded, yet close to city life. We did have a run in with some wasps, Brandon came out and sprayed for us. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves so much we didn’t want to leave!!

This was a great place to stay, and a unique experience being a houseboat. Safe and clean. And a great view to start your day, or end it. Great place.
