Happy's Place Downtown Southport

This is my uncle Happy's place. It is in historic downtown Southport. Walking distance from restaurants, shopping, and the Cape Fear river. Located on a quaint alley just off the Main Street of town. This happy little cottage is nestled amongst large live oaks and in the shadow of Southport's iconic water tower. The home has one bedroom with a queen bed. The living area has a twin bed and two chairs. There is a full kitchen and small bathroom. Southport’s beautiful waterfront and parks await.

While in Southport, enjoy the shops, the majestic Live Oaks, dine at fabulous cafes & restaurants with water views, take a carriage ride, watch the boats go by, go on a ghost walk or tour a museum. Southport has something for eveyone!

The Historic Backdoor Cottage in Southport, NC

The charming Backdoor Cottage is located in the Historic District of Southport, NC. It's named the Backdoor Cottage because you park and enter through the backdoor into the living space. It is within walking distance of the whole Historic District including the waterfront, restaurants, shops, churches and art galleries. Much of the art work in the cottage was done by local artists. This one of the most unique homes you can stay in Downtown and you feel it’s charm the minute you step in the door.

No stairs, ground-level are ideal for children, older guests, and pets (pet fee collected separately). Lots of amenities and beach items are provided for your comfort and convenience.

Renovated and Immaculate comfortable beach cottage in a quiet neighborhood yet just 1.8 miles from the Holden Beach bridge. Shopping and dining are 15 minutes away in Shallotte. Myrtle Beach and Wilmington are both within an hours drive. If you prefer to relax, you can sit on the 10' x 22' deck just outside the kitchen door, or by the fire pit, on a rocking chair or the swing in the open back yard, which is ideal for playing fetch with your dog.
