We stayed here for 7 days with 2 small kids (2 and 4 years old) and wow was it amazing. The home is spacious and has everything we needed inside and outside the house. I could not have asked for anything else from the home and the dock was just so awesome to have, even caught 10+ fish right off the side. We rented a boat for a day from a marina and were able to come in and out of the backyard/house with no problems. I wish we could stay here for a whole month, but have to go back to real life!

The location suited our needs perfectly. It was close to our Jehovah’s Witness facility in Patterson NY. We had a morning tour which made it very convenient, only 20 minutes away. We not only enjoyed the peaceful quietness, we were also able to do a little fishing at the boat docks right on the property of Candlewood Isle and caught a few fish.☺️

We were pleased with the stay at Blair’s cottage. It was so clean , as were the sheets and towels. He left enough toiletry supplies in bathroom and supplies in the closet for the kitchen. He is very attentive to his renters. Even though the cabin is on a county route 7 , it was very private and comfortable and cozy. My wife and I will be sure to stay at this cottage in our future trips to Connecticut. Thanks again Blair! Best regards, Frank

Quaker Hill Cottage was the perfect getaway from the city. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at peace. The welcome basket was such a sweet and thoughtful touch. The bed was unbelievably comfortable. It was the first time in forever that I got a great night’s sleep. We cooked dinner and enjoyed drinks by the fire. Every little detail was wonderful. The shower was luxurious. In the morning we had breakfast outside on the terrace. Can’t wait to come back!

Spectacular view of the lake. We enjoyed the use of the kayaks and all the games at the cottage. You have to cross a busy road to go to the dock, but it’s worth the price. The cottage was clean. Beds were comfortable. Such a beautiful area to visit!
