The accommodation is clean, lovingly decorated and is set in the middle of a fantastic landscape overlooking the tea plantations – simply beautiful and very relaxing. The host was extremely helpful and always available if you needed anything. You feel immediately welcome and well looked after. A perfect place to switch off and enjoy nature. I would come back anytime!

His adorable dogs added so much joy to our stay, making us feel even more at home. The staff were incredibly kind and professional, always smiling and ready to help with anything we needed. The food was a highlight—every meal was delicious, fresh, and full of local flavor. And the view… absolutely breathtaking! Whether it was sunrise or sunset, the scenery was magical and peaceful. It’s the kind of place that instantly makes you relax and enjoy the moment. We left with full hearts and lasting memories. Our stay with Duminda was absolutely perfect. We were the first guests in the second new cabana, which was completely brand new and spotlessly clean. Duminda was a welcoming host who assisted us with all our questions and suggested great activities in the area. The breakfast was also excellent. We highly recommend staying here!

If you wonder if it’s worth it, it’s worth it. Great place to spend some chill time no “must’s” only “can’s”. Music, food, people, animals and river… all u need to be :)

The beach hut is a wonderful place to stay in a beautiful green location. The hut is basic but has everything you need, just a step away from the beach. The hosts are very helpful, and their restaurant across the street is definitely worth a visit. This place is highly recommended!

I had the pleasure of staying at Ayomi’s place for over two months. I felt incredibly welcome and at home from the very beginning. Ayomi is extremely friendly and attentive – she truly makes sure you have everything you need. She also offers convenient extras like laundry service and scooter rental, which make daily life much easier. The room is beautifully furnished, the bed is very cozy, and the well-equipped kitchen provides great flexibility, especially for longer stays. The location is fantastic, surrounded by nature: you can watch many animals right from the terrace and enjoy the peace and quiet, far away from the noise of the city. However, having a scooter is definitely helpful for getting around. I can fully recommend Ayomi’s place and would be happy to stay here again in my next stay!

Great place to be honestly not that far from the beach which is quite lively. Caretaker and the owner both are quite responsive and understanding. Kitchen is completely available for a nominal fees which is good plus point.

We booked with Malika because we wanted an authentic home stay experience in a quiet, rural setting and we found exactly this and more! From the moment we were handed a delicious, ice-cold, homemade lemonade on arrival, Malika made us feel like part of her family. Our 3 days with her were some of the best of our trip. The cabana is beautiful and rustic but still very comfortable with good facilities. There's no AC but we slept really well under the mosquito net and fan. The location is great - 3 mins walk to the beach (it's not safe to swim there) and in a quiet corner of Panama village. We spent our days walking on the beach and exploring the friendly village. Our evenings were spent chatting with Malika in her kitchen as she prepared the most delicious rice and curry dinners. Malika also arranged a safari for us to Kumana national park. We invited her and her family to join us and it was a very special day out Thank you for everything Malika! We had the best time & we'll miss u

Staying at Maheera’s Airbnb in Ahangama was an unforgettable experience. Tucked away in a quiet village, the home is surrounded by nature — peaceful, with only the sound of birds chirping, and even the occasional peacock sighting — yet just a few minutes from the beach. What truly made our stay special was Maheera and his wonderful family. Their warmth and hospitality were unmatched. Maheera checked in on us every day and helped with everything we needed, making sure we were always comfortable. His mum and dad greeted us with big smiles and waves every time we left or returned, which made us feel like part of their family. It wasn’t just a place to stay — it felt like home. Highly recommended for anyone seeking peace, nature, and heartfelt hospitality

Wow, this place is incredible. The hospitality of the hosts is second to none, with delicious breakfasts of traditional food and fresh fruit delivered every morning. The bungalow is quite spacious, very tropical and located only 5 minute walk from the stunning Goyambokka Beach. There is also a scooter that can be rented for a mere 2,500 Ruppees a day, meaning that it is easy to explore the area on your terms. You cannot find anything close to this quality for such a low price. We cannot recommend highly enough

We had a lovely stay at Capybara’s cabin. The food at Capybara was delicious!!

We had a great stay. In the afternoon, the waves were too high, which is why we were able to dodge the pool and still tanked the sun. At night it is twice as warm in the cottage, but the air conditioning was a big help with this. Even when the monkeys took the generators out of action, they were looking for a solution right away and we had electricity again within a pass minutes. Thank you for the pleasant stay!
