Beachfront holiday rental in St. Louis County

I’m so happy we picked this one! The location was really great. Easy to launch our boat and find the dock, which by the way is a great dock. Close to town, where I went too often to get an iced latte and raspberry white chocolate scone at Sulu’s. 2 different trails that could take you to Soudan or to Tower. If we ever have the opportunity to stay again, I would bring our bikes. The house was spacious, super clean and had everything you could think of. It kept our 5 year old occupied when he didn’t want to go out fishing. Not once did he ever complain that he was bored.

We had a great anniversary weekend with our pup at Brandon's cabin on Long Lake. The co-host Liz was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The cabin was clean, and had all the necessities for cooking/grilling. The little beach was perfect for our pup to play and for us to wade in, and they had a canoe available as well. The lake was very quite and peaceful. Lots of yard furniture and games to enjoy the natural, still, beauty of the Northwoods. We also spent a day driving to the Northshore and exploring the beautiful state parks! Even though there is no running water in the cabin, there is a water cooler inside for drinking water, they provide solar bags for showers, and there's a big tank of water out back for washing dishes. They also have the CLEANEST, least smelly, outhouse I've ever used. The cell reception wasn't the best - we have Verizon - so that's something to plan for if you need to stay in touch as there is no wifi. Liz said that AT&T is much better in the area.

The cabin was comfortable and we loved the location. Its right off of a quiet beach and walking distance from the pier; it really is the best of both worlds! We highly recommend staying here. Kathy was great to work with.

Awesome cabin on a beautiful lake! The cabin is in a quiet location with great lakeside amenities. The cabin is beautifully decorated and is very well stocked. Heidi and Paul are great hosts with a quick response time to any questions. I would highly recommend this cabin!

Hidden Minnesota gem. The place is even better than the photos. Serene, extremely tranquil. Beautiful lake and lots to do for kids and adults equally. Love coming back to this place.

Our family stayed for 7 nights. Cabin was newly remodeled and had a wonderful view of the lake. We really enjoyed the lake access/boat ramp, wood burning sauna, and watching movies on the projector screen. Host and management were very friendly and easy to work with. Highly recommended and worth the money. Thanks for sharing your little slice of heaven.

What a hidden little gem we found in this resort and especially in the caretakers Chad and Abby! My 3 siblings and niece were there with my 92-year-old mom to celebrate her birthday and it was perfectly relaxing. At the last minute we had one extra person and it was too much for the cabin I had rented, and even though everything in the entire state of Minnesota was booked, Chad/Abby pulled a rabbit out of the hat with accommodations! I was expecting a vintage resort to be… More “vintage” but there’s been a lot of work done with a lot of new wood and updatIng. I typically expect cabins to have a lot of spiders and whatever… But I must say The cleanliness and attention to detail exceeded my expectations!! The cabins were cozy and quaint as advertised. Which was fine because we spent our days outside! absolutely loved the woodfired sauna !!! Everyone was super friendly and we had some great conversations out by the bonfire! We wanted a pontoon on mom‘s birthday and the resort one was already rented, Chad went out of his way to locate one at a nearby resort, even drove it over from the resort. and took us on a pontoon ride to deliver it back to the resort on Sunday morning! I mean… Who does that?! No problem was too big or too small for Chad /Abby to solve. Highly recommend finding an opportunity to stay here! We for sure will be back! PS- No matter where you go stay in northern Minnesota, be sure to bring plenty of bug spray… And also bug bite salve!!

Landy's place was a quaint, and rustic cabin in the gorgeous and pristine setting of the Northwoods. We loved waking up to the fog rising from the Lake, and having our morning coffee by the water. Described as expected, with no electricity or running water we packed as if we were tent camping and we felt prepared for our stay. Our family stayed up late by the light of kerosene lamps playing cards. It was a great bonding experience and a welcome get away from wifi and technology. The boat rental was a plus, and locals were very friendly and welcoming to us.

This Airbnb was great. Had everything that we needed within a beautiful condo space. Access to the lake and hot tub was great.

The place was lovely! You can see the lake out of the back door. Couldn’t be closer to the beach. The front bedroom was also lovely. Thanks for hosting us!

Jessica was very helpful with our group and the condo was beautiful. We were so impressed with all the details thought of and how well stocked it was. It was a wonderful and comfortable stay.

Our stay at Jessica’s place was wonderful. Very clean, beautifully decorated and full of amenities that were perfect for our stay. Jessica was very responsive and proactive in addressing any questions we had. Walking distance to all the major sight seeing areas in canal park and a great selection of restaurants in the area!

The place was perfect. It had everything we needed and then some. Also, it is incredibly close to one of the alpine ski lofts for Giants Ridge (literally right across the street). We will definitely stay again!

Staying here was so peaceful - like stepping into another world where time stood still! My husband and I were amazed at how different the Lakes were for being separated only a small channel at the north side of the cabin. Sunrise over 1 lake was met at Sunset over the other - spectacular! The fire pit was incredible and at night the lakes are as smooth as glass! The outdoor shower was fantastic and there were so many things to do outside from the sauna, canoe, kayak, peddle boat and floaties to all the games and books inside the cabin. Kim was incredibly responsive and we can't wait to go back!

We had a great time on our honeymoon in the Rocky Point cabin. A quiet and relaxing stay with the ability to catch fish right off of the dock next to the cabin. Location was key for us as we were traveling to the surrounding state parks. Well worth it to stay here for a special occasion or just a weekend away.

Great place to stay! The place was clean and well stocked with all the things we needed. We even cooked a few meals in the kitchen. The open living room and kitchen was very comfortable and flexible. The walk to the beach was fun. The lilacs blooming in the front yard were so incredibly fragrant. The entire vibe was incredibly relaxing even though I had to work remotely a bit while there. It was our first time to Duluth and my husband’s first time visiting Minnesota. He was very impressed with the location and walked to the lift bridge. He took some great photos. Thanks for providing the perfect place to stay in Duluth. Highly recommend.

First time at this place and will be back. Nice cozy cabin right on the lake and had everything one needs. Good fishing too!

First, Neil is an incredible communicator! Second, I was looking for a place of solitude in an ever-crazy world. Loon Island is EXACTLY that. It's a place that can be whichever you prefer, a wonderful place to stay all week without outside influences, or a basecamp for excursions to explore the Northwoods and towns. Amazing sunrises AND sunsets! Only significant sounds are waves hitting the island shore and nature. And, because it's all contained on an island, there is less chance for undesirable wildlife interactions. Caught walleye, smallmouth bass, crappie and rusty crayfish! Ate fish and crayfish! I love this place! Only critical comment is, Neil provides a 14ft boat and 4hp motor (both worked well), but there is not a good place at the island to manage a larger private boat. I wish there were. However, the arrangement with the nearby resort worked fine. Slight inconvenience, but was glad there was a solution/work-around. Definitely would stay again!

This was a beautiful location for a relaxing vacation. The property manager was very responsive and friendly. I recommend that you reach out to him before your visit since you will be interacting with him rather than Evolve.

This was exactly what was presented in the listing and exactly what our little family needed. The cabin was clean, furnished wonderfully, and right on the lake with a great view. We went up to spend time not only on the lake but also in near by cities and the location was perfect. We were able to make a day trip to Ely and visit the International Wolf Center and the North American Bear Center one day and another day visited Bear Head State Park and Sudan Underground Mine. Lynn and Asad were extremely welcoming and helpful. We were able to spend 5-7 hours swimming on the beach at the lake and used the vintage paddle boat, and kayak. It was an all around great experience and my 13 year old daughter already has asked to make this trip a tradition each year. Highly recommend.

Our family had a great visit. The place is so close to all the activities and restaurants for kids but we loved being across the bridge from Canal Park. The place had everything we needed, was advertised, and everything was easy. We'd return.
