Mister Hare's Cottage - beautiful Lakeland cottage

LeonRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a lovely stay at Mr Hares Cottage. The cottage is lovely & was squeaky clean top to bottom. Everything we needed was there for us & a folder on the table also explaining everything we needed to know, included interesting places to visit & local walks. I would definitely stay again, thank you David

Private Lodge on 500 Acre Estate

LucyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a fantastic stay at Otters Tarn this weekend. We booked it for a surprise 30th and it was just perfect for what we needed. Kath was so thorough with everything we needed to know and more. Always responsive and accommodated me and the family to the best that she could. We stayed in Neddy Cut lodge and it was beautiful. Clean throughout and the surroundings were peaceful. It was such a nice gesture of Kath to put some cookies and bottle is Prosecco in the fridge for the celebrations too. Thank you so much, we will definitely return and recommend Otters Tarn.

The home is situated in a beautiful location, offering a relaxing and serene environment. The house itself was spotless, and it was evident that Lee had thought of everything to ensure a comfortable stay. Lee was always responsible and a friendly host. I would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a perfect getaway.

The hut was very cosy, but comfortable even for a family of 4. Beds very comfortable. Heated flooring made the room feel warm and lovely on a rainy day. Hosts were very friendly and supportive. Thank you very much!

The Barns - Low Stott Park, nr Lake Windermere.

We had a lovely long weekend stay here. The house is very stylish and really comfortable with great amenities. The garden is great, the dog especially loved running around it. Great location with some stunning walks right on the door step we walked to Lakeside and did the High Dam loop. You get used to the parking quite quickly. We cooked some delicious meals in the kitchen and the bed was super comfy, would recommend and we will be back. Lovely welcome basket on arrival, which we really appreciated. Thanks again.

Drakes Cottage

Loved loved loved this stay!! It was so gorgeous and decorated so nicely. The place felt light and airy yet cost in the evenings. The heating was easy to work and the place warmed up very quickly even without the fire which is essential for my girlfriend because she’s always cold. The bed was super comfy and clean, and the robes were a really nice touch. Jennifer as a host was super friendly and responsive! We felt right at home as soon as we arrived. The location was perfect and it was easy to walk to Cartmel village through the fields which cut out walking on the country roads (though they were generally not busy anyway!). Cartmel is a lovely place with nice cafes, pubs and some very fancy restaurants. Overall it was a very special stay for our anniversary - made even more special by the bubbly left for us when we arrived. We would recommend anyone looking for a quite and relaxing few days. Thank you Jennifer!

Delightful One Bedroom Cabin with Stunning Views

ElizabethRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a lovely four days at Nicola's cabin. The view was great from the lounge and the terrace - you could just see the end of Windermere - and out across the valley. The photos didn't do it justice! We really enjoying being able to sit out on the terrace, even when it was raining, as it was partly covered by the roof and was sheltered from the elements. The bed was comfortable, there was a sofa and the shower was lovely. The cabin was roomy and for the two of us and we has plenty of storage space - there were lots of hooks and sockets too. There was an oven as part of the woodburning stove but no conventional oven - although the hob and the microwave sufficed. Nicola was really friendly and quick to message. We couldn't see her house from the cabin so it felt secluded, but she was nearby if we'd needed anything. We went to do the Fell Foot park run and the cabin was well-placed for that - only 5 mins drive. All in all, would highly recommend.
