The Den is a unique space within the Lake District - a Scandinavian BBQ cabin. A large BBQ pit in the centre to sit around provides a cosy relaxing evening space, and a place to cook! WiFi, Fridge, Microwave, Kettle & Dolce Gusto. Bedding provided. NEW OCT 2024 Upgraded bathroom facilities! Private shower, toilet and sink, exterior but right next to The Den. 8 minutes by car to Windermere, 5 minutes to Kendal. Easy access to a bus stop and cycle lane. Sorry but no pets or children

It's 12 minutes walk from Kendal town center's many independent shops and restaurants and 5 minutes walk to our local pub the Riflemans Arms

“Holly’s Hideaway” is a cosy snug cottage, with its own private courtyard space. Tucked away in the center of the vibrant village of Staveley. Directly from the door you can enjoy some of the best walks the Lake District has to offer. Staveley is a gateway to other towns and villages such as Kendal and Windermere via bus or train. Please note we allow a maximum of 4 guests including infants we only allow 1 small/medium dog per booking. (Dogs are not allowed upstairs or on the furniture)

It is cosy, warm and full of modern amenities such as underfloor heating and a log burning stove. From the front door there are footpaths to Staveley village with its selection of pubs, cafes and shops. Only 15 minutes drive to Lake Windermere - it's a fantastic base to explore The Lake District. Afternoons on the patio watching the sheep are highly recommended!
