Home with a View

PenelopeRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Rebecca's place is in an excellent location, set in glorious Nidderdale, but within walking distance of Pateley Bridge with all it's facilities. The apartment was spotless, well equipped, tastefully furnished and extremely comfortable. A lovely base from which to explore local attractions like Fountains Abbey and Brimham Rocks. Highly recommended!

Smith Cottage in Appletreewick sleeps two

RuthRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Situated in a perfect spot for beautiful walking from the village, Smiths cottage is warm and cosy, a generous size for two, tastefully furnished and equipped with everything you need. There is ample parking and a pretty garden and patio with wonderful views of Wharfedale. You can stroll to two pubs- we had a delicious traditional steak and ale pie at the Craven Arms. There is a useful friendly basic supplies shop at the nearby campsite, which also has a little cafe and ice cream spot. We walked to Burnsall and Hebden along the River Wharfe on our first day- glorious scenery and bird song all around. The climb up behind the Craven Arms over the hills to Troller’s Gill and through the valley to Skyreholme was well worth the effort for the vistas and for a visit to the fabulous Parcevall Hall Gardens, with its Love Brownies tea room for refreshment before the walk back along the River Wharfe via Howgills to the cottage. Sunny weather too! God’s own country indeed. Thank you Lorren.

Nidderdale Den

RachaelRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Lovely little cottage tucked away with beautiful views surrounding it. A bit tricky to find as the sat nav stopped before the actual road we needed to turn down, however Jo’s clear instructions really helped. Cosy, lovely cottage. The steps are really steep up to the bedrooms though so be mindful of that. We went with our 4yr old who just loved climbing up them as she thought it was an adventure, and we just brought our baby gate to put at the top for in the night. Pately Bridge is a 10min drive away, although I would advise bringing food with you as shopping options are quite limited in the small town. Be mindful there is no microwave in the kitchen as well for food prep/baby bottles etc. Jo was a lovely host, she sent through a full brochure for us before the trip with lots of local info on. We ate at the Sportman’s Arms about 15min drive from the house as well, which I would highly recommend, also suggested by Jo. Would recommend Jo’s place for anyone wanting a relaxing stay.

The Old Horsebox

My partner and I had an amazing few days. Katherine and her husband were extremely friendly and very helpful with any needs we had. They allowed us to explore the farm to see the animals which I thought was very kind of them. We will be returning in the future as this holds a special place for us.

Unfortunately we were only able to visit for one night because it’s a beautiful cottage in a picturesque environment. It met all of our needs - clean, comfortable and roomy for 5.

The Old Rope Mill - A Nidderdale Riverside Retreat

Millnook was a clean, comfortable and practical property for a weekend stay. It has easy access to the River Nidd walk along to Pateley Brige which has a few shops and two pubs. In the other direction you can walk up to Brimham Rocks.

Well House Cottage, Pateley Bridge

SarahRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Our time at Wellhouse cottage was simply amazing. Rachel has really thought of every little detail to make our stay special. Check in was easy, and it was lovely to meet Rachel. The property is beautiful. Large bright rooms, cosy fireplace, well equipped kitchen and huge comfortable bed. The little welcome gifts were fabulous- thank you. Rachel was on hand with excellent recommendations and help if we needed it, but also allowed us to enjoy our privacy. We cannot wait to come back! :)
