Family-friendly holiday rentals in Stichtse Vecht

The location was great, walking distance to trains and trams to get to the heart of Amsterdam. Far enough away to be quiet for nights in. Nancy was very communicative even though she was on holiday. Easy parking if you drive in and plenty of space for 5, especially if someone doesn’t mind the couch. Would be great for 3 couples. Amazing showers 😁

This is such a special place! We absolutely loved our stay - it was the perfect place to unwind, slow down and be still. Rob was a great host and made us feel really at home . I highly recommend staying in Robs house and we’re keen to return!!

Federica and Ladislao were absolutely wonderful throughout the entire process. Responsive, accommodating and flexible with check-in and check-out times. The place itself was huge, very unique and homey. We spent most of our time in the garden, which was very charming, shaded and private. The living room had a large skylight that brightened the whole place. The room was packed with a variety of plants that also gave the house a great atmosphere. We also loved the industrial kitchen! Location was also great. Central yet quiet and peaceful. Plenty of great bars and restaurants around, and just a 10 minute walk from the museum district. Overall was a great stay! Highly recommended for a group of friends or a family.

Manuel's place was such a beautiful home. We loved the lush green view from the window every time we walked into the living room. The place was sun-filled and airy, and it felt nice to sit on the couch and relax. The location was superb, in a quiet and trendy suburb full of cute cafes and lovely children's parks. Manuel was an excellent communicator. We very much enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful time in this spacious and cozy villa in Utrecht. The apartment exudes a feel-good atmosphere and is perfectly equipped. Utrecht has a lot to offer, and from the property, a lot is within walking distance, easily accessible by bike or car. The location is very quiet, but still close to everything you need. The landlord is very nice and helpful. We can highly recommend this place!

This apartment is beautiful and pretty much exactly like the pictures. The garden is a fantastic inclusion, the bathroom is as theatrically fabulous as it looks and it was lovely to be able to play the baby grand piano. The increasingly popular De Pijp area is a short walk across the bridge and we spent most of our time there. A fantastic place to stay in a brilliant location - we’ll be back.

Very responsive host, response within a minute, very spacious house and in accordance with the description. The only negative point is the direct surroundings with the house, it is stuck to a warehouse, a public space or a club, I don't know what it was but there were people, it was quite noisy at night and they have access to our terrace if they want, not very reassuring we found. In addition, when we arrived a car parked next to our location had the rear windshield broken. All the pieces of glass were on our parking spaces. The next day a neighbor came to see us. He had to call the police because someone had broken and dropped his gate. Environment not very safe. I would have liked to know this in the comments before booking this accommodation.

We had a very nice stay with Caroline! At our arrival she was a very big help, suggesting nice places to go, good parking spots and explaining the nearest public transport possibilities. The location is beautiful as was the Houseboat we stayed in. Would definitely book again!

The lodge is very lovely, Michel & Josephine are very kind hosts! The communication was also very good. We could spend 4 relaxing days with a group of 6 people and a dog. Excellent place for a getaway from the busy cities.

Beautiful location, very suitable for a family visit with elderly and (grand)children. Nice location along the water so we could swim, play football and even sail with the sub. Everyone was very satisfied after 3 days together.

We had 4 very nice days in the idyllic surroundings and the very nice house. There were five of us there and we had a dog with us too. Everything was a great fit. Lovely little house by the water. Really being outside and yet within 20 minutes in Amsterdam.

Heleen's place is located in a beautiful, peaceful place and the cottage is great, even better than the pictures. Surrounded by gardens, canals and lots of nature, is ideal for relaxing and exploring nature around. The cottage is big, comfortable, super clean and has lovely gardens around. Only 8 minutes by car there is the Breukelen's train station from where you can reach easily Utrecht, Amsterdam and other locations. I stayed for a month and if I could have, I'd have stayed longer. Heleen is very helpful and knows everything about the area, giving tips about restaurants, shops, walk trails, and other amenities you can find around. A very fast internet and a free parking space in front of the house are a big plus. Highly recommended!

The house boat was just as it looked in the pictures! It was very spacious and comfortable for our family of 4. It was perfect how the kids sort of had their side, or wing, and my husband and I had our space in the master bedroom, on the other side. We all slept very well! We loved the cats, Skip & Bo. We are animal people, so it was fun having them come and go, and socialize and snuggle with us! The views were amazing and there were plenty of spots to just chill when we weren't out exploring. The house boat was very walkable to many fun spots and different areas. We definitely felt like we were staying in someone's home versus a rental. Enjoyed all of the personal touches in the kitchen as well! We would go back in a heartbeat and recommend Joost's place without hesitation!

Very nice spacious house with a nice exterior overlooking the canal, terrace at the exit of the living room and dock on the water. Access to the direct central station (20mn) with the tram that departs 100m from the house and comes back right in front. Very nice rooms and parking space in the basement. I recommend.

The house was exactly as described. The location is amazing, and the patio is out of this world. We had a great time!

Steven was absolutely amazing! The boat is lovely and well situated and he went absolutely above and beyond to help us out on our stay - he even brought us out on his tugboat for a test run! Could not recommend enough thank you so much for our stay 😊😊

This is a perfect spot to stay in Amsterdam! It is larger than it looks in the photos, with many nice artistic decorations and advantages (you can watch a drawbridge go up and down from the deck). All the comforts of home plus a very friendly, gracious host. Convenient to the bus, tram, and a nice supermarket-- very easy to get to the attractions in the city, but you also can walk to a pretty small village and bike in the countryside. Note that this is not a good place to stay if you have mobility issues (you have to climb over other boats with your suitcase to get here) or if you really hate spiders (there are a bunch outside, a few inside. My arachnophobic husband was fine, but you will see spiderwebs.) I strongly recommend this place! I always wanted to stay on a boat and it turns out this is a common fantasy... All of your friends will be jealous.

Couldnt fault the tiny house. We felt so far away from the world, yet on the doorstep to everything. Nancy couldnt of been more helpful. Anything we needed was answered. The chickens were a bonus.
