Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Stockholm archipelago

Hans & Lena's cottage is a delightful stay. It's beside the water and it was really nice sitting outside with a wine and watching the boats go past. The bed is comfy, the shower is great and the kitchen has all you need. There is a restaurant/bar close by which is also on the water. It's approx 25 mins to central Stockholm but most of the drive is motorway so it's easy driving. If you're looking for something quiet and peaceful this is for you. I recommend. (there is a road at the top of the property that gets busy at times but I didn't notice it after the first day). Thanks for being friendly and helpful hosts 🙂

Wunderbar gelegenes und toll eingerichtetes Haus quasi mitten im Wald. Wer Trubel und Action sucht, ist hier sicher falsch. Aber mit einem guten Buch auf der Terrasse zu sitzen, die Vögel zwitschern zu hören und dann auch noch die private Suana nutzen zu können, das ist schon echt richtig toll!! Wir haben fleißig Ausschau nach Elchen gehalten - die kamen leider dann doch nicht vorbei, aber immerhin konnten wir einem Reh zuschauen, das ganz genüsslich in "unserem" Wäldchen graste. Und die Kanutour zu dritt in Richtung Meer hat auch riesigen Spaß gemacht - inklusive Baden im 16 Grad kalten See! Insgesamt sehr sehr schöne drei Tage!!

What a gem in the Stockholm archipelago?! My friend and I stayed at Mikael and Anna-Viktoria’s cottage for a few days, and absolutely loved it!! The cottage is quite close to Stockholm, we took a 25 min taxi from Slussen, but you could easily get there with great bus connections. The living area is stunning, with beautiful views of the lake, natural light through the day, tasteful decor, and many spots to lounge both indoors and outdoors. We spent our days chilling, bbqing, cooking, walking … the hot tub with views of the lake was a definite highlight! Mikael and Anna-Viktoria are kind and responsive hosts. We would love to be back!

Wer zu Karl fährt, wird die Liebe und Hingabe zur Architektur und die sich daraus ergebende Harmonie und Ruhe in jedem Detail fühlen können. Wir haben tolle Ausflüge in den Nationalpark mit Rad unternommen- auch die Sanddornknospe bei Gålö ist sehr zu empfehlen. Wir haben die Zeit bei Karl sehr genossen. Er war ein aufmerksamer Gastgeber und hat super schnell auf Fragen reagiert. Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert !

Mysig stuga i mycket vackra omgivningar på Yxlan. Tyst och lugnt, med bra bekvämligheter. Snabb kommunikation med stugvärd.

We absolutely loved staying at Magdalena's place, it was impeccable clean and exactly like the photos. We were two young families visiting and enjoyed the living area and ofcourse the sauna. We took walks around the neighbourhood and cooked every day, the beds are very comfy and would love to come back. Also Magdalena is a superhost responding swiftly to all our questions and super accommodating. Thank you so much for having us.

Wir kamen auf Empfehlung unseres Sohnes in diese schöne Unterkunft und haben uns dort gleich wie zu Hause gefühlt. Der Check in klappte hervorragend und alles war genau beschrieben und mit Fotos erklärt. Das Häuschen ist perfekt und liebevoll eingerichtet- es fehlt an nichts! Wer nach einem Besuch in der City Ruhe, Erholung und Natur sucht, ist hier bestens untergebracht. Wir waren nur mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln unterwegs- das war kein Problem Dank einer sehr guten Verkehrsanbindung. Auch im Garten in Wassernähe kann man es sich richtig gemütlich machen und den tollen Blick genießen. Kajsa und Jesper sind sehr sympathische Gastgeber, mit denen wir einen sehr netten Kontakt hatten. Wenn wir wieder einmal in Stockholm sind , kommen wir gerne wieder in dieses tolle Haus zurück!

Ein wirklich schöner, friedlicher und angenehm privater Ort in einer tollen Umgebung. Unzählige Ausflugsziele liegen nur eine kurze Autofahrt entfernt und der kleine Badesee in Gehdistanz ist ein Geheimtipp für warme Sommerabende. Besonders gefreut hat uns der regelmässige Besuch einer Rehkuh auf dem Grundstück. Das Haus bietet innen und aussen alles Nötige, hat viel Charme und wird offensichtlich rege genutzt. Wie von der Gastgeberin angekündigt, hatte das Wasser einen etwas seltsamen Geruch und Geschmack, weshalb wir schliesslich das Trinkwasser gekauft haben. Wir würden dieses Haus insbesondere unternehmungslustigen Familien empfehlen mit viel Bewegungsdrang und der Bereitschaft, sich mit einem einzigen Bad/WC zu arrangieren.

This apartment is brilliantly located with ease to local cafes, public transport, metro station and importantly walking distance to the main city areas. We loved our visit to Stockholm and would recommend this apartment to any traveller wanting to experience and stay locally in an authentic Swedish apartment.

We spent 3 nights at Axels. I would recommend a visit of 3 nights minimum if you are a tourist trying to explore and understand beautiful Stockholm. This apartment is very spacious and great for a family or 2 couples since it has 2 levels. The bathrooms are large and well laid out. The location is absolutely perfect! High quality restaurants offering diverse cuisine are nearby. If you like to walk, as we do, beautiful parks and impeccably maintained boulevards are found nearby in all directions. Thanks for a great experience!!

Miły i pomocny gospodarz. Bardzo wygodne łóżko. W mieszkaniu było wszystko czego potrzeba. Polecam!

The accommodation is very central and well connected (by metro, bus and ferry), yet absolutely quiet. It feels very homey, the apartment is nicely furnished, well equipped and clean. Communication was fast and easy. Overall, I did not regret my choice at all. Not a problem for me, but worth mentioning: There is no lift.

Lovely top floor flat with plenty of light and space. Host very friendly and helpful. Surroundings very pleasant and with plenty of places to go.

Einfach eine tolle Lage in Gamla Stan. Vor allem war Annika total hilfreich. Wir konnten z.B. unser Gepäck nach dem Check out noch unterstellen, was uns sehr geholfen hat. Die Kommunikation über den Chat funktionierte auch reibungslos. Antworten kamen innerhalb weniger Minuten, teilweise direkt. Annika als Gastgeberin ist einfach nur phantastisch. Gerne kommen wir wieder!

Perfekter kann eine Unterkunft nicht sein: Dawood ist sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und sehr gut organisiert. Die Wohngegend gefällt mir sehr gut und das Zentrum ist schnell erreichbar. Das Studio ist perfekt ausgestattet, alles ist sehr sauber und das Bett ist sehr bequem. Für mich war auch sehr wichtig, dass die Internetverbindung sehr gut ist und ich deshalb ohne Probleme Videokonferenzen abhalten konnte. Der Preis ist unschlagbar und ich würde das Studio selbst bei einem etwas höheren Preis jederzeit weiterempfehlen.

William was a great host and was very responsive. There were no surprises and we had a good understanding of what to expect with the area. He even pulled the double bed out in advance for 2 people to sleep. The place is very neat and clean and had all of the necessary amenities.

AnnaMaria's home is a little way outside of town but easy to reach by multiple modes of easy to manuever public transportation. I really enjoyed being in a place that felt like home and allowed me to unwind after a long day of exploring the city. Another great aspect is the neighborhood. Her place is on a busy street but it doesn't feel like it at all. The community is laid back and just peaceful. I really enjoyed my time and am grateful AnnaMaria allowed me to stay in her place.

Perfect stay! The place is gorgeous and well kept, even better than the pictures, it’s spacious and has a lot of natural light. Perfect location in the heart of SoFo, a lot of bars and restaurants and an easy stroll to the other islands. Barbara was amazing, super nice and helpful, answered every question and gave us a lot of suggestions. We had the best time and would definitely come back

Aura and Diacos air bnb was wonderful! It was in a perfect part of town. All of the lamps made it so cozy. Such a beautiful place. We would absolutely stay there again!

We had a grand stay in Tobias place. Location is great and being in a cul de sac, nice and quiet. Place is small (toilet is tough if you have long legs!), but a nice place with good fittings. Tobias was very responsive.

Lena was a wonderful host! She greeted us at the flat and showed us how everything worked - also gave several recommendations for local coffee ice cream and eating establishments. The flat was an excellent place and just as shown in the AirBnB site. Would love to go back to Stockholm and would certainly stay here again

Fabulous apartment in a great location with lovely views! Easy walking distance to rail and metro with access to all parts of Stockholm. The apartment is exactly as detailed in the listing - highly recommended! Alejandro is a great host and shared restaurant recommendations which we really appreciated.
