The cabin is located 120 kilometers from Tromsø (1 hour and 45 minutes by car), and 6 km from Skibotn center. It’s the perfect place for hiking, northern lights watching and fishing. There are also various possibilities for both off-road cycling and skiing. The panoramic view over the Alps of Lyngen, the fireplace, the sauna and the traditional outdoor compost toilet, make the place exotic. In winter you must fetch water from a nearby river/well, and use the sauna oven or the stove to heat it.

Storeng Lodge under the Lyngen Alps

Hytte som egner seg godt som utgangspunkt for turer i Lyngen, Lyngsalpene og Tamokdalen. Her kan du se på nordlyset, fiske, gå på toppturer eller eksempelvis ta turen til Steindalsbreen. Hytta har fire soverom (hvorav ett er anneks i tilknytning til garasje) og totalt 9 sengeplasser, 1-6 gjester forlegges inne i hytta, gjest 7-9 forlegges i annekset like ved ett bad og eget vaskerom med toalett. Nøklene tas ut fra nøkkelboks ved inngangspartiet.

In the city center it is well arranged with activity opportunities and parks for families with children. The cabin is secluded and often has a starry sky, which offers beautiful northern lights. The outdoor area is well furnished.

Huset er bygget i 1948 og er delvis pusset opp. Eldre møblement. Huset ligger ved havet og ved foten av Lyngsalpene. Nydelige utearealer, med egen grillhytte nær vannkanten.
