Apartment holiday rentals in Stornoway

Highly recommend this flat, clean and spacious. Great communication from the host.

We stay on the island frequently and this was by far the best accommodation we have stayed in to date. Made better by the fact we had a really good out of season deal. Beautiful apartment, building and grounds and walks, with cafe and museum in same building. Hope to can come and stay again.

Our host Christina was fantastic. She helped us check in with our luggage and was really friendly and knowledgeable. Loved staying in the castle. We are definitely coming back next year.

Amazing location within Lews Castle. Rooms are done to a very high standard and feel very luxurious. Service from Alan the General Manager was exceptional. Great place to stay, would highly recommend.

A great stay at Lews Castle. The Castle is conveniently located close to Stornaway and many great restaurants/attractions but is far enough situated that it is quiet and peaceful. The apartment is enormous, very comfortable for 3 people. We enjoyed nights around the large couch. Watching the sunset over the harbor was quite amazing. The beds are comfortable and the showers and bathrooms well equipped. Check in was easy and we appreciated all the directions and local recommendations. Would happily stay here again.

Lews Castle was the perfect place to stay on the Isle of Lewis! The apartment unit was pristine and the General Manager stayed for our late arrival. The grounds surrounding the castle are walkable and beautiful. It is an easy walk to downtown Stornaway. This is a place we will come back to. I highly recommend this accommodation for your visit to Lewis! You won’t be disappointed!

The Flat was all you could've asked for and more. Great central location. Communication with Doreen was easy and she was always responsive. The Flat was better than expected. There has been some changes from the pics online. The pictures don't do it justice. I'll look to book again in the future. Thanks again Doreen. You're a star 🌟

This is a fabulous place, and once we found it, we enjoyed every minute. The staff is helpful and made us feel welcome. The rooms are large, and staying in a castle is pretty special. My only complaint is that the description of where the unit is located is very misleading. We were told the apartment is "ON the Lews Castle grounds", which are over 600 acres. For travelers like us, completely unfamiliar with the castle, that's very confusing, and an accurate description would be more helpful and enticing. The unit is IN Lews Castle. And it's great!

The apartment was great! It was clean, very comfortable and well laid out, walking proximity to downtown was incredible, and communication with Etta was quick and informative. She was very accommodating and hospitable. We would stay again and recommend to friends!

Beautiful, comfortable room in a castle! Lovely luxurious break from camping. Staff were excellent and very friendly and helpful. Great for exploring Stornaway for a night. Wished we stayed longer!

My family and I stayed for 2 nights. We really liked the location of the place. Many of the shops were about a 5 to 10min walk. Very easy to get around. Would definitely recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lews Castle. The apartment was beautiful and clean. The grounds were stunning and very walkable. We ended up staying an extra night because of a canceled ferry and Christina reached out to us to see if we needed an extra night. That helped us because we were scrambling to change car rentals, ferry rides, train rides and other hotel stays. She was proactive and took care of it for us. I’m sure it happens from time to time so they know the situation but still it helped.

Great experience in this space. Room was well appointed and the shower pressure was fantastic! Plan ahead and bring some bath bombs for a soak in the incredie bath tub.

We stayed here for three nights. The accommodation was clean and cosy, with comfy beds and warm blankets. It is very well set up with high quality furnishings and everything we needed for our stay. It's a remote spot but for us was well worth the drive as it was so peaceful, and the scenery and views out over the sea from the apartment are just stunning. Unfortunately we were not blessed with good weather, but there are plenty of opportunities for things like hiking and marine wildlife boat trips. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return!
