Had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Calf Shed. It was perfect for my husband who is wheelchair bound with everything thought of from that prospective. Lovely views and very peaceful. Gillian was a lovely friendly host and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend a stay.

Beautiful eco lodge with stunning rural views

ElizabethRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a wonderful stay in the eco-lodge. The view, from both inside the lodge and from the garden, is superb. Nicely furnished, very clean. Bridget was a very helpful host. Lots of lovely walks in the area and Shaftesbury is a beautiful town. We will definitely return.

Cranborne Chase

What an amazing place - our large family had plenty of space to spread out. This was a perfect introduction for us Americans to the English countryside: peaceful, magical and serene. The walking path that takes you to the historic church and past the sheep is such a hidden treasure. Cottage was immaculate and well decorated.

A beautiful little hideaway in an incredibly peaceful village. I'd recommend to anyone looking for a quaint location to stay which is close to Salisbury. Super clean, bed was comfortable, and kitchen/bathroom were well equipped. Hilary was friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Tim was the perfect host - responsive, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. In addition, he told us everything we needed to know about the venue and the area. The coach house is a wonderful place to stay, beautifully appointed and very professionally upgraded.

Wild Garden Retreat

SerenaRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We had the most incredible stay in this beautiful hut tucked away in the heart of the English countryside. If you're looking for a peaceful escape surrounded by nature, this is it. The location is remote, so you’ll definitely need a car, but that’s part of the charm—it feels like a true getaway. Despite its seclusion, it’s within easy driving distance of some fantastic places to eat and explore. We spent our days visiting local villages and scenic spots, then returned each evening to the calm and comfort of the hut. The hut itself had everything we needed. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to do a shop and cook full meals—something we really appreciated. It’s cozy, thoughtfully designed, and made for a wonderfully relaxing base. Fantastic walks on your doorstep. We had a small issue the first night, but Becky resolved it instantly—so helpful and made us feel cared for. We had the best time. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a tranquil break in a stunning setting.
