Minimum stay 7 nights Sunday to Saturday. The grounds of the light station are Town property, and open to the public so while the keeper's apartment is private, the downstairs space and grounds will have visitors. You will be responsible for keeping the outside doors of the building locked when not open to the public.

This unique place has a style all its own. It’s an open concept studio for two on the “quietside” of Mount Desert Island. This cozy, newly constructed nook is the perfect place to rest your head after exploring all our island has to offer! Note, there is no oven or cooktop. Your kitchenette will provide a sink, refrigerator, toaster, microwave and coffee maker. Your studio is the downstairs to the owners apartment, both with their own entrance and shares a driveway with my other rental.

This could not have been a more perfect getaway. We were looking for a secluded spot on the beach for a family vacation and what we found here surpassed all of our expectations. It is truly magical! The cabin had everything we needed and we could have spent all summer exploring the cove and island. One week wasn't enough! Thank you Denise for everything!

We absolutely loved this location! Ann went above and beyond as a hostess helping us every step of the way. If you are looking for a true getaway then this is the perfect spot for peace, quiet, and relaxation. The home was well equipped, very clean, and had nice comfortable beds. The grounds were amazing as well, plenty of area to walk and enjoy. Our kids loved checking for eggs every morning, and petting the goats in the yard. We enjoyed everything about this place and when we return to Swan's Island, we would book this place again, in a second, if it were available. Thanks again for all your assistance and letting us enjoy your home.

Swans island is a gorgeous, very special place, well worth the trip to it! And Julie’s place was so perfect, made me feel right at home, beautiful view of the water and access to it, lovely postcard views down at the water with an old wharf to the right and the ferry coming in and out in the distance, many birds, plus little islands in view along with occasional seals and dolphins or porpoises.

If you are looking for a private, quiet and peaceful retreat- you've found it! As if Swan's Island isn't remote enough, Scott's cottage is down a long, private drive on it's own secluded cove. The cottage has some awesome upgrades including Wifi and great linens and is immaculately clean. Scott is a friendly, communicative host- we've stayed several times and will absolutely be back!
