We booked The Stables for a couple of nights, including for it to be used as the bridal getting ready space on the morning of our recent wedding, as it is only 10 mins from Priston Mill. It was absolutely perfect and Nancy went above and beyond to help make it work for us including making space on the drive of the main house to allow wedding suppliers to park. The space was light and bright and surrounded by a gorgeous garden and it felt really private and peaceful. It was very well equipped with everything you’d need and actually seemed a larger space in person than in the pictures! Special thanks go to Nancy for making it extra special for our wedding and including some lovely bubbly in the fridge which was a really thoughtful touch.

This was just the most perfect trip. The house was lovely with stunning views of the lake. Everything was clean and tidy, with everything that’s needed for a few days away. There are many walks you can do from the house and lots of bars/restaurants near by. Would highly recommend and look forward to staying again.

Great location in the middle of Castle Combe, to stay in a property with so much history was fascinating. The house was clean, everything worked, beds are very comfortable. Marlit replied promptly to our questions making everything very easy. We had a great stay.

The accommodation was superb! However, please note that we had booked it for a group of 8 men participating in the Ultra Challenge 53km charity walk. The group may have made a bit of noise, though we did our best to keep it to a minimum. We also tried to be mindful with the use of the hot tub.

We had a lovely weekend away staying in the Annex. It was so good to have 2 joining rooms as 2 couples - everything that we possibly needed is accommodated for. Deborah is extremely helpful and responded to messages quickly. Lovely big comfortable beds and the location is gorgeous - we had a great time! Thank you!

Beautiful little three level cottage home right in the heart of Bourton on the Water. Full amenities, comfortable beds, Smart TV , dishwasher etc. Low ceilings on the ground floor as expected in a 17th century cottage so not an issue. Highly recommend Captains Cabin for any exploration of the Cotswolds

We had a lovely stay at Grange Cottage celebrating our daughter’s birthday. The house is fascinating, the beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was a perfect communal space especially with small children. I loved the very old barn and we had great bbq’s there. The children had a lot of fun in the garden and enjoyed collecting the chicken eggs. We did the walk along the tow path, suggested in the house guide book, which somehow ended at the pub and our son in law was pleased to visit Caen Locks ( well worth seeing, amazing engineering feat ) as he had been through them with his father some years ago. Victoria was a very helpful host and I would thoroughly recommend staying here.

Hope Cottage is amazing. The location is wonderful, the house itself has everything you need and makes you feel like you're staying in a proper British cottage. Sarah is an amazing host: she answered any questions I had very quickly and was just in general very kind. One thing to note: the house isn't built for tall people. I'm 181 cm tall (about 5'11) and I had to bend down a bit whilst going through doorways or using the shower. It didn't really bother me, but it's just something to be aware of. Whether you want a quiet retreat or a homebase to explore the area, this is an amazing place to do so!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The house is spotless, super comfortable, and felt like a real home away from home. It was perfect for our little one, there were so many toys to play with, books and even a barn outside which was a huge hit. The surrounding nature is stunning and so peaceful, we enjoyed every moment. The hosts were genuinely kind and helpful, we felt very welcome. We’d come back in a heartbeat!

Don’t hesitate if you want to stay in this area. The property is just as described, spotless and felt like a home. There are stairs so might not suit everyone but we had a wonderful two night stay. Highly recommended and Lucinda and Katy were quick to respond and we were given lots of local places to visit and eat. Perfect.

We were hosted by Rebecca from 20th-23 June. The house was beautiful, well equipped and spotless. Really nice outside area to sit in the sun and admire the picturesque views of the lake. The dogs enjoyed walks around the lakes twice a day and it was a much needed break for us. My husband caught some colourful carp and tench. We would love to stay again and would recommend to others. This property was perfect for our stay in Wiltshire with our dog. The house was quiet, set back from a main road so our boy wasn’t so scared. The host was lovely, they had left us a wonderful little welcome basket and when we unexpectedly had an anniversary gift delivered from a family member they quickly let us know so we could collect. The house was just as the photos showed and beautifully presented with everything we could need. The local area was perfect for dog walks and we were able to explore so many local attractions. We couldn’t recommend this place enough.

The perfect escape! Farahnaz and Paul are really helpful, very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The Summerhouse is so secluded and cosy. it really is a proper escape from the "Busy Life" Shakurs on the corner is a great place to eat if you get the chance. We spent 6 days at Rob’s place with our 3 children. The weather was not our friend but the onsite swimming pool meant we still had a fabulous time. The hot tub was a great addition to the property. The cottage had plenty of room for us all & the spa facilities were fantastic. Great location as well, we had a lovely morning wandering around Cirencester. Rob was super helpful. We used 2 of the recommended places to eat & both were fantastic options. Lovely stay!

Booked for a 50th birthday celebration and reunion. A great time was had by all! Lois was around to meet and greet and the items provided for breakfast was an unexpected but very welcome surprise! Thanks for a great stay Lois!

Beautiful peaceful spot in the Cotswold countryside. The cottage is spacious and well equipped with great walks straight from the door. The pool was such a fantastic asset and really added to our holiday.

We've just returned from another wonderful stay at this property in Long Sutton. As returning guests, we were delighted to find it just as perfect as we remembered. The location is stunning, offering peace and tranquility, and the property itself is immaculate. This time, we particularly enjoyed the pool and sauna – a real treat! We can't wait to return. We are all family of four, we really enjoyed our stay, the cottage is just as described both in the pictures and the listing details. the surroundings are beautiful and peaceful, the perfect get away! Rachel was very responsive and helpful. We all had a wonderful time and hope 5o be back soon!

Would definitely recommend a stay here. Rosalind was the perfect host. She greeted us and was just lovely. She gave us maps and information for surrounding area and walking paths. . We were welcomed with freshly baked Bread and condiments, fresh orange juice and homemade pancake mixture, maple syrup, lemon and sugar for Breakfast. The cottage is so quaint and cute. There are stairs up to loft, and has parking on property. It is in perfect condition and extremely clean. We couldn’t have asked for more.
