We are a family with a big cosy house in the heart of Norway, and we would like to share it with you. Those who want to enjoy untouched beauty of nature, hike, visit a former olympic town of Lillehammer and spend some time in peace are welcome:)
“Aase is an amazing and a warm host. The house is full of character, vintage touches in every corner. Aase ensured to ask on our food allergies and habits and cooked perfect dinner(at an extra cost) and breakfast (included in the price). The surroundings of the house are very peaceful and a perfect Norwegian country house experience. We loved our stay at Aase'e house. Would be a perfect stopover to experience typical country side if traveling from Bergen to Oslo (Oslo airport is 2.5hrs from the house).”

In the kitchen there is cold tap water and a stove run on gas for simple cooking. The area can offer bikerides, hiking and fishing.
“My wife and I LOVED this place, spent our 30th anniversary here, although to be sure it's probably not for everyone due to no electricity. But if you're okay with a bit of an unplugged adventure, and want to get away from the maddening crowd and enjoy utter silence and majestic scenery, it doesn't get any better than this. Ole and Margrethe provided LOTS of firewood so we could have outdoor fires overlooking the pasture and the lake in the valley below, plus have fires in the wood burning stove in the kitchen--plus, there is a gas stove on which we did our cooking--and in the fireplace in the living room. We didn't have wireless connection or cell service on our trip to their cottage, which was a mistake, since we needed to call to have the gate opened, but had lunch at a great little place called Waffles and Beef in Hov, and one of the cafe owners knows Margrethe (even though we were probably still 30 miles away), called her for us, and we gained access just fine. This place is unique, rustic Nordic, and freaking wonderful!”
