Amazing location with incredible views. Beautiful property with great interior design and well chosen artwork, sympathetic to the original school. Thanks to Tania and Carla for the care and attention and for the outstanding breakfast each day. And for doing a shop for us on the first day before our arrival. We would definitely recommend the chef at home meal. Great food and service by the guys with traditional Portuguese dishes on offer. Fantastic stay; we didn’t want to leave….ever! Outstanding! We cannot say enough about how enjoyable, peaceful, and satisfying our stay was in Fontelo at Marina’s house! The house feels spacious and open, with everything you need to be right at home. The views are incredible and the pool and outdoor spaces are functional and enjoyable. I wish I could go back and have another cup of coffee outside, watching the sun rise over the vineyard hills. A 15-minute drive to the Douro River makes tasting the local wines and Port very accessible — just make sure to check the route before following your GPS or you may end up on a dirt farm road :-) Marina is friendly and responsive, always willing to help with questions or suggestions for where to shop and eat. We are already looking forward to our return!

We had the most incredible stay at this beautiful home! It’s spacious, stylish, and absolutely perfect for a large group. The layout is ideal with bedrooms upstairs and downstairs feels like a dedicated hosting space, perfect for socialising, gathering, a nice big hot tub!!!! The views are truly spectacular we enjoyed barbecuing while overlooking the vineyards, which felt like something out of a dream. It’s even more stunning in real life than in the photos (which is saying a lot!). The hostess was absolutely lovely so friendly and helpful. She responded promptly to every request and made us feel so welcome throughout our stay. I genuinely can’t fault this place. If I could, I’d return every weekend! It’s ideal for groups of friends, families. The house is incredibly well-suited for the Douro Valley and ticks every box. Thank you, thank you, thank you for such a wonderful stay! Would 101% recommend!

This was a wonderful stay that offers you the best of both worlds. A quaint, peaceful rural home yet driveable to bigger tourist areas. Jose was such a welcoming host and we appreciated our arrival treats and his graciousness even with our late arrival. The history to the home is unique and adds another layer of warmth to the stay. The home was clean and the beds comfy. The shower had good pressure and a good supply of hot water. It has a functional kitchen as well as a grill outside that we made good use of. The pool was absolutely lovely after a long day of touring. We enjoyed evening games of euchre in the loft area but note that even if you aren’t tall, remember to duck as there’s a low beam. We highly recommend this stay and would return without hesitation!

Our stay at Quinta Rainha Santa Mafalda was unforgettable. The villa’s views over the Douro River and surrounding vineyards were absolutely breathtaking—sunrises here are something special. The home itself was spotless, spacious, and beautifully furnished, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The terrace was our favorite spot to relax with wine in the evening. The location is ideal: peaceful and private, yet close to wineries and charming villages. The host was incredibly welcoming and responsive, providing great local recommendations that made our trip even better. Every detail, from the cozy beds to the fully equipped kitchen, was thoughtfully prepared. This was one of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve ever had, and we would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommend! Also the house maid here was amazing and cooked us one of the best Portuguese dinners!

We had an amazing time here! Gorgeous views, lovely spacious and well set-up apartment but most of all the best hosts, Cristina was extremely helpful and welcoming, offering home baked cookies even! Additionally, Bruno as well as his parents were kind and welcoming. We tasted the farm’s wines and were happily surprised. The pool is amazing, the setting is most serene. We drove to the Douro river to visit some wineries and the drive is lovely. I can’t fault this place. Hopefully coming back soon!

It felt like home when we returned after 6 six years. The place of Laurence & Jorge is in line with the pictures and the view is amazing. The house has everything you need, we really loved the mattresses and the pillows. The house is surrounded by a large garden, and we liked the privacy and the fruit trees in the garden. Getting into the house is easy and communication is perfect. We will definitely return again! We recommend to do some groceries before you arrive, the nearest supermarket is a 15 min drive away. Absolutely amazing stay – perfect for friends & dogs! 🌄🐶 We stayed at Casas da Pereira with a group of friends and our two dogs, and honestly — it was incredible! The dogs were in heaven, running free through the vineyards all day long. We spent our time swimming in the refreshing pool, soaking up the sun, and just relaxing. In the evenings, we lit a fire in the fire bowl, made tea, and watched the most beautiful sunsets. The sunrises were just as magical — truly some of the best views we’ve seen in Portugal! The house itself was super clean and cozy. And we have to mention the towels — they were extra soft, like luxury hotel quality. Huge thanks for that little touch! If you’re looking for a peaceful, scenic place to unwind (with or without pets), this is the spot. We loved every minute and would absolutely come back!

The house is spectacular. The weather was rainy and cold and the house was warm and comfortable. The unbeatable pool installation, we could enjoy it every day. Everything was very clean and has all kinds of utensils, accessories, pool towels, games, etc. The truth is that it is a totally recommended house to go in a group and the hosts are always attentive and friendly.
