The first floor is a living room, and the second floor has two adjoining Japanese-style rooms that serve as bedrooms, allowing up to 6 people to stay comfortably. 　In the courtyard, there is a white stone character "kokoro" (heart) inscribed in the gravel. It was made by the gardener a long time ago for fun, and it is the origin of the name of the inn. He said he wants to welcome people with all his heart and help them relax and enjoy their stay.

The bedding is specially ordered from a long-established bedding manufacturer in Kyoto, and the bath invites you to relax your body and mind and sleep soundly. Most guests say they sleep well. If you request at least a week before your stay, we can prepare local food from Oshima Island and seasonal food that we can get through a special route. We were warmly welcomed with a cup of Japanese green tea. It immediately felt very familiar. Breakfast was wonderful and delicious. Both Japanese and Western breakfast. The hostess was extremely thoughtful and took us to a bus stop far away so that our journey would be easier. Perfect place to start the Shimanami Kaido. We cycled from Imabari to Onomichi and this was the perfect location. Many shops and eateries within walking distance. We would book with Shiokaze again immediately. It was a relief to be received by a dear person as opposed to a key locker. Thank you!
