I use it many times when I stay for work.It is a very comfortable inn where you can relax, so I like it very much.

What a lovely home! I will be thinking about this house for a long time to come… perfect living room and bathroom. Decor and interior design is simple yet tasteful. Heated mattress to sleep on the tatami made for a restful sleep each night! Super lovely place.

Kenichi san and his wife were so kind to wait for us til late outside during check in so that we didnt get lost as we were arriving by car. They gave excellent recommendations on where to go, eat and visit. The house is next to a river and they live next door so are easily reachable if you need anything. House was in a quiet residential area of town, about 10-15 mins walk to the main takayama street, temple trail walk and morning market, all within walking distance . Uniquely traditional Japanese house and very clean. What surprised us was they prepared breakfast as I wasn't expecting it, though simple but yummy. Overall, if you want to experience a traditional Japanese house that is clean comfy and with great hosts, this is the place.

Our stay here was absolutely lovely. The villa is even more lovely than in the pictures, was super clean and had great amenities. The host was so friendly and helpful and very responsive over message. We really enjoyed how beautiful and peaceful the area is, and there are lots of lovely local cafes and restaurants a short drive away, as well as lots of hiking opportunities. We would love to stay here again if we are ever back in Japan. Thanks so much!

If you are staying in Takayama you must book this Ryokan. Close to the old city center but still quiet with a stream. Ruili is very welcoming. We were picked up from the station so we didn't have to walk to the cottage in the rain. He also responded quickly in the chat. We really had a very nice stay, 5 stars!

This is one of the most special places to stay in all of Japan. The photos do not reveal just how spacious and special this old home is — and the onsen it is connected to is lovely. It is also a 10 minute walk to all the gems in Takayama. This was the most restful stay of our lives. Hirotosan is very kind and fun to talk to :)

I changed the time of my stay twice, thank you Naomi for your understanding, and thank you Naomi's mother for warmly welcoming us and introducing the house in detail.Although the house is relatively old, it is fully equipped with all kinds of items, and everything you need is available.The only thing that is a little lacking is that it is 20 minutes away from the Takayama Station and the bus station, because Takayama City itself is not big, this distance seems a little far.If you come from the station with a suitcase, it is recommended not to follow the navigation, you can walk along the river from Miyakawa Asahi, the road here is good for pushing the suitcase.

A little out of the way from the main attractions in Nagano, & it’s quite a walk to the house. However, it’s a calm & quiet place. You get to see very photogenic scenes as you walk around. The house was well organised & had everything I needed. Tatsue is very helpful with recommendations as well & will guide you towards a great experience in Nagano. Recommended for those who want to really see the Japanese alps, cycle around the countryside & enjoy the local vibe!

It was really cozy. It was close to nearby convenience stores and amenities, the house was clean, and the host brother was friendly. I'll use it here next time I come again. It was good value for money and had fun before heading out. Thanks to you, I made good memories in Japan. Thank you.

Located around 5-10 minutes walk away from Takayama station, it’s a convenient location to get around and explore. Although the host may not be as responsive but you can message her earlier so that you can get the response you need in time. The host also nicely allowed our extension to check out 1 hour later so that we have more time to explore our neighbour without lugging our luggage around. Overall, I thinks it’s a comfortable stay for my family of 4 adults with all the necessary amenities.

Only stayed a night but if we had stayed in Takayama this would have been an excellent place for it. Amazing location that was so walkable to the best places, new building that looks fantastic inside, shower room and bath was a highlight.

Very clean. Spacious . Walkable to the station and to the old town.

A cozy and clean place, Well equipped. We were so happy that it has a small oven and we could bake our own dishes that we like. Please note that you can hear the traffic light buzzer, it did not bother us. Thanks so much, Highly recommend!
