You have your own private entrance and patio area on an entire different side of the house so your experience can be as private as you like. The entire apartment which includes: washer/dryer, fully equipped kitchen and patio area. Your host will be available for anything you need during your stay. My daughter/co-host, Bernadette, a young D.C. professional, can also answer any questions about the D.C. area, restaurants and other cool places to go. The apartment is in a quiet suburban neighborhood with easy access to the Washington area. It's a short walk to the FDA. Downtown Silver Spring is nearby, with its many restaurants, bars, Fillmore music venue, Ellsworth Dog Park, and a movie theater. The National Archives, University of Maryland College Park and UMUC are just few miles away. A Ride-On bus stop is located on the same block as the apartment. A Metro bus stop is 5 minute walk. Silver Spring Metro Station is about 4 miles away. There are a few parking garages at the Silver Spring Metro Station if you choose to drive there and then hop on the metro. Free parking on weekends and holidays at all Montgomery County Parking garages (some lots and street parking may require payment on Saturday). You could also Uber/Lyft to the metro station or all the way into the city (great option esp if you're splitting fare).

Wonderful stay. Takoma Park is a great little part of the DMV with close by amenities, including a super awesome Mexican place and local butcher with killer breakfast burritos. The apartment was just as advertised and very pleasant. Fish was a great host. Will be returning.

On the days leading up to, and during my stay, Marian was beyond helpful in answering any questions I had. Very respectful and wonderful to communicate with. The place itself was beautiful and spotless. This place is right next to a lot of restaurants, a public area that hosts a bunch of events and community driven activities, as well as a shopping mall right down the street. Overall this was an extremely satisfying place to stay and Marian is very well deserving of a 5 star review, I would 100% recommend her to anyone thinking about staying here.

Cute, clean little guesthouse in quiet residential neighborhood but an easy 10 minute walk to downtown Silver Spring and everything there. It was perfect for a 3-day weekend for two of us. Guesthouse is modern and cheerful, has updated fixtures, and I loved that there were plenty of electrical outlets! Kitchenette is efficient and thoughtfully laid out, and worked well for a simple breakfast or snack. With all the restaurants nearby it's all anyone should need! No problem finding street parking. Wi-fi was a little spotty, but we weren't trying to work from there so it wasn't a problem. Would definitely stay there again.

Olofs suite is a peaceful cozy space providing all the necessities. My family felt very relaxed and enjoyed deep sleep before each adventure. The area is beautiful with parks and creeks, and quick access to yummy cafes, restaurants, and bakeries. This space is also a peaceful walk to the metro, perfect for commuters. We stayed for a week with our 12 year old. We had come to visit the sites and the location was perfect. After a long, busy and hot day it was lovely to hop on the train and be “home” in 20mn. The area is beautiful with lots of little stores, bakery and restaurants. The hosts were so very helpful and always reachable. The space is well appointed and has everything you need!

Everything about your home was amazing and thoughtful - from the peaceful outside living spaces, to the high quality bathroom towels, to the well stocked pantry, to the bottle of wine waiting for us after a day of traveling, and much more.
