Amazing experience in Puerto Viejo! The house is surrounded by nature, making it perfect for relaxing and unwinding. You can hear the sounds of the forest and see animals from the garden, a unique experience! In addition, the beach is literally a minute's walk away, ideal for enjoying the sea at any time of the day. The house is comfortable, well equipped and very clean. The host was friendly and attentive at all times. Definitely a place I'd love to go back to. Highly recommended for those seeking tranquility and connection with nature without leaving the sea!

Happy House is the perfect name for this oasis! Our family was so lucky to get to stay there. The property is large and private. The covered patio ( we call it a California room in California) was amazing. The indoor/outdoor kitchen and living space was a great place for our family to relax after many adventurous days in Costa Rica. The bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable. There were geckos and bugs in the covered patio area but my boys loved that part! The beach is beautiful but there is a rip current right in front of the house but we walked a short distance in both directions and found great swimmable ocean for our kids. It was a great end to our Costa Rican vacation! Thanks Steve for opening up your special space to visitors! Pura Vida!

Anton and Shannon were so nice and welcoming. The apartment was perfect for me and my partner and the beach was literally a 2 minute walk from the house. The house is surrounded by jungle and it’s beautiful. The layout of the house was super cozy so it was easy to relax after a day of exploring. Perfect spot for a getaway that’s private and close to everything.

Our group of 4 had an absolutely fantastic experience during our trip. The unit is gorgeous and is very conveniently located close to restaurants and supermarkets, as well as being within walking distance of secluded beaches. There were wild animals within the property itself and we were able to take videos of monkeys, agutí (small animals similar to a mini-capybara), and many different exotic birds. The master bedroom is reminiscent of something from a movie with its screened doors and the breeze coming from the water while you hear the wildlife. Both Pablo and Carlos were phenomenal during our visit and were the most responsive and accommodating hosts that I’ve dealt with to date. They went above and beyond what I would normally expect and it made the experience top notch. I recommend this unit to anyone that is looking for a truly unique and beautiful place to stay while visiting the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica and wants to experience the true meaning of “pura vida”.

Daniel went above and beyond to make sure we had nothing short of an amazing stay here in Casa Cocles! Daniel was checking on us through the trip to make sure we knew of the local spots and must-visit areas. He also greeted us with some fresh cut fruit to munch which was very refreshing! The location is at a really convenient spot that allowed for worry-less travel between different activities. We ended up visiting the animal rescuer center, countless Puerto Viejo restaurants, Cahuita National Park, BriBri tribe territory, lots of beaches , etc and these all felt very accesible and easy to get to with or without a rental car. Some tours even offer to pick us up exactly at Casa Cocles for free! We were super grateful and happy with our stay, and will definitely be coming back here for future getaways!

Amazing host! Amazing place! David is super helpful in every detail and for sure one of the most good hearted hosts I had in my travel history. The apartment is comfy and has almost private beach access and. I wish I can spend there a lot more time!

The house with the best location, opening the door of the house and having the beach at your feet is great, the house is rustic, no luxuries but functional because it has everything you need to live the experience of the South Caribbean, the environment of the house feels very safe, it has parking inside the property for 3 sedan cars, a large ranch with dining table and hammocks, good Wifi, comfortable beds, you can do activities such as long walks on the beach and the trails of the Punta Uva viewpoint, the waves in front of the house seemed safe to me but still be careful, definitely the most difficult thing is when you have to leave because you want to stay longer, I will definitely return.

This home is a gem in disguise. The landscaping is absolutely beautiful. We came here for a week. It was a long drive from the San Jose international airport but well worth it. Very sweet local town. The people in the town are really nice. The food is absolutely delicious and clean. Ice cream is delicious. We had a wonderful vacation, celebrating our sister’s 60th birthday. We loved having the pool to relax at during the heat of the day. Great kitchen to make breakfast everyday. Grocery store is not far at all. The dog and 2 cats are so cute and sweet. Located in a paradisiacal garden where you can watch countless animals. Marise patiently showed us around and showed us a wide variety of animals. The property is located directly on the sea and Marise even provides beach towels. Another plus is the daily housekeeping. We highly recommend the fabulous place and would be happy to come back any time.

Sharon is a super friendly host and very accessible, always attentive and willing to help. The villa is in an excellent location, very safe, with ample parking space, a nice pool and perfect amenities for a small vacation. The kitchen is fully stocked, and I love having a private bathroom villa in each room. It's a beautiful place where you have a great time. Highly recommended!

To start Jerson is a super friendly , helpful and attentive person. And about the place you can walk to the nearest beach, to the supermarket, if you want to go out at night to eat because you prefer to stay in the tranquility of the hotel, Jerson congratulates you an express that offers you all kinds of food. The facilities are very nice , all very clean and super safe and quiet. I would recommend it to the thousand 👌🏽

What a slice of paradise! We were able to check-in early, and instantly felt right at home. Sylvio, the host, is friendly, funny, and an excellent cook! He made us pizza one night that only compares to what we have had in Italy. He made local recommendations and made sure we were happy and had everything we needed on a daily basis. The property is private, with toucans, parrots, and so many beautiful lizards everywhere. We would drink coffee by the pool each morning and watch the wildlife. We had a Vespa/motor bike to get back and forth into the heart of Cahuita and it was perfect. Otherwise, we did not mind walking places. The beach is directly in front of the hotel and was empty every time we walked down there. We will be back, very soon. Thanks Sylvio!!

Thank you for a wonderful stay!! Your space was everything we were wanting. Nice open, clean and a kitchen that had everything you would need to cook some meals. The air conditioning was also very nice to have.

I have been to Puerto Viejo several times and this house has been the best of all, in every respect, Jorge is also very attentive

What a magical place! Our family of five loved our stay at Amanda’s casita. It was clean and cool with a well equipped kitchen including a coffee maker, toaster and blender (which we used to make delicious smoothies!) The high ceilings and strong ceiling fans provided a welcome retreat from the heat and the mosquito netting over the beds gave us peace of mind at night. The beautiful calm waters of the Caribbean are literally steps from the front door which was ideal for our children (9, 7, & 5) as it made it easy to slip back and forth from beach to house throughout the day. There is reef right off the beach and with snorkeling gear we rented from Amanda we enjoyed spotting tropical fish. With everything so walkable we were able to slow down and spend our days between beach and hammock. In the evenings we would walk to a lovely beach side restaurant. Amanda organized a guide who took us on a very engaging & informative hike through Manzanillo wildlife refuge which the kids loved.

Overall our stay was great. We rented the white house in full lodging so we had two bathrooms, two bedrooms and two kitchen spaces. The house is as advertised in the photos, very comfortable and complete. I liked that they had a recycling and composting space. Before booking, I recommend: 1. Check the number of guests carefully before making the reservation. The house can accommodate 8, however my reservation was for 4 people and if we wanted to add someone we had to pay extra. 2. The house space was totally private, but the property's garden is shared. There is another lodging behind, a cellar above the house and as the garden is very spacious, other vehicles also park. We had no problems with our car, but there was a little noise during the morning when the other cars were taken out. Definitely recommended and we look forward to coming back soon. Thanks to the reception girls for their kindness.

Enjoyed another stay at Fabian’s! Had everything we needed, in a great location, with a little walk to the beach. Nearby restaurants and grocery stores are convenient, along with abundant nature. I recommend!

Very close to the center of town

The place is great love the location surrounded by friendly people and very close to local areas like grocery stores and walkable to the beach loved everything about this place.

Great spot within a stones throw of the ocean. The house has many amenities, but most valuable to us were the private bathrooms for each bedroom, each with climate controls; great shared living spaces (indoor and out); and tiny but awesome dunk pool. The house reflects some wear and tear but Rise was very responsive on issues.

Nice house away from town and right next to the beach, perfect for having a peaceful weekend.

Excellent stay, don Luis is a super helpful and friendly person. He was in touch at all times to give us recommendations, Excellent internet, the cosine very well equipped, the house super spacious and comfortable , very close to the beach 5 minutes walking, parking and everything you need for a good family stay, restaurant and supermarkets in walking distance. I thank Mr. Luis for understanding with us that we carry children and older adults, God bless them🙏.
