Kyoto Seifu-an is a private accommodation in a Kyomachiya house, located a short distance from the Shirakawa River in Higashiyama Sanjo. Also, the alley in front has little traffic, very quiet, and you can spend plenty of relaxing time. Kyoto Seifu-an is a 4-minute walk from Higashiyama Station on the Tozai Subway Line, where you can walk to nearby temples, walk to Heian Shrine, Yasaka Shrine, Kiyomizu Temple, and Gion. It is an entire private space, but in case of an emergency, you can contact the staff 24 hours a day by mobile phone and email, so you can stay with peace of mind. A newly renovated machiya town house with typical layout and a small garden, retaining the tradition of Naramachi - the old merchant town of Nara. Easy access via bus and train, supermarket, restaurants, convenience store, bakery, and a Japanese bath house just minutes away. This house belonged to a famous wood carver of "ittobori" - a traditional Nara technique of carving the wood. A projector and a record player will make your stay even more pleasant. Enjoy!

Our inn was apparently built in the early Showa period. We have renovated the bathroom and kitchen areas to make your stay more comfortable while still retaining the charm of the townhouse, such as the low ceilings and narrow, steep stairs.
