The entire space, which includes a loft with a staircase dance and a renovated basement of an old potato field, is also used as a place for artists to stay and create, depending on the period. You can enjoy nature and art with ONKAI, an outdoor sculpture by a German artist, a 2-3 minute walk away. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. Meals are not included, but a set of homemade bread is included for breakfast.

This is a private, whole-house guesthouse located in the quiet fishing village of Nigishima, Kumano City, Mie Prefecture. On the way to Nigishima, you’ll be greeted by the deep blue ocean known as “Kumano Blue,” and the house sits overlooking the calm waters of Nigishima Bay. To reach the house, you will need to climb approximately 50 steps (about a 5-minute walk), but a beautiful view and peaceful atmosphere await you at the top.
