It is nestled in a landscape of gentle mountains and next to a small river, in a traditional agricultural area that maintains the typical customs of the Moroccan peasantry.   Despite its proximity to the cities of Tetouan (12 km) and Tangier (50 km), it is a very quiet and safe area, free from the overcrowding of traditional tourist destinations.
