Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Tateyama

Hiroki was the host during our stay. The place really did match the description and actually exceeded our expectations. Hiroki was always a generous, friendly and helpful host while also sensitively respecting our privacy. And his English is perfect which also helped! He told us this had been his grandfather’s house. He still runs a super community cafe and gift shop adjoining the house. The garden is really lovely too. And the bikes! The house was perfect for our small family reunion in Japan. Chigasaki is a lovely town, off the international tourist map but with gorgeous coastline, surfing scene, Hawaii vibes!, views of Mount Fuji and fabulous restaurants and bars. Also very well connected by train and a great local bus which stops right outside the house. Day trips to Enoshima, Kamakura, Tokyo and Hakone. Also took a weekend to visit Kyoto by bullet train. All a perfect introduction for a first (or subsequent) visit to Japan.

It was beautifully cleaned, the room was spacious, and it was very cozy.I had a relaxing time in nature surrounded by rice fields.

I was able to relax in the warm winter sauna in Tateyama.

The sea is a 30-second walk away, and there is a shower room on the first floor that can be accessed from the outside, so you can take a shower immediately after coming out of the sea. Open the large window in the living room and enjoy a BBQ on the veranda, which is the same size as the living room.From the living room, you can see the sea and hear the sound of the waves, making it a truly wonderful facility. There are 2 guest rooms on the 1st floor, and each room has a toilet, so there is no need to go to the 2nd floor, and the layout of the shower room, which allows you to move between the 2 rooms, was very good.

We had a very pleasant time in a very beautiful and stylish space.Good access to the supermarket, beautiful location (Mt. Fuji), etc., I thought it would be nice to be able to use it again.

I visited again this time with a friend from my student days.I was worried about the rain at the time, but the weather was good during my stay, and this morning I was able to enjoy a little sunshine and the usual wonderful ocean view. The facilities were still very clean and I had a pleasant time. The friend I visited with me this time was visiting for the first time, but he was impressed by the wonderful view from the room. This time, he said he would like to visit with his family. The owner was also very kind and helpful, and I am grateful for the hospitality. Next, I heard that you can go to the neighboring Hamakanaya by train or bus, take the ropeway to the top of Mt. Nokogiri, and then descend using the mountain trail, visiting famous places such as Jigoku Nozoki, the Great Buddha, and the Japanese Temple, and then descend near the facility, so I definitely wanted to try it. I would like to visit again in the near future. Thank you very much!

Really spacious apartment in harajuku. Right next to everything but still quiet. Had a hairdryer and laundry in apt (washer/dryer). Would stay here again. Recommended

I had a very smooth experience with Section L. Everything was as expected - convenient location, clean room with everything I needed, friendly and helpful reception.

A very nice house in a beautiful place. In the mornings we were awakened by the birdsong. The house is clean, spotless, away from the central stations but the place is quiet and enjoyed resting. Every half hour BUS passes and the stop is just 3 min.We had a perfect stay at this house. I would 100% recommend this place. Thank you so much!

Had an excellent week long stay here. Mitsuru-San, the host, communicated very well and made sure I had everything I needed. The area itself is quiet, close to the station, and near some nice restaurants. Recommend for those looking for a convenient and comfortable stay

This was my second time staying at StayFab’s apartment in Shimokita and just like the first time we loved it. We appreciate the apartments proximity to the train station, shopping and restaurants. The apartment is an ideal size for a family traveling with kids. David is a great host and a great communicator.

Gimmicky. I want to get that out of the way right now. This property is capitalizing off of having an onsen nearby with traditional looking Japanese bedding and decor. That's what got me, and it might be what's getting you...I would say that's probably not worth it. The place itself is fine. The bedding is fine, but in the end I chose this place over other cheaper options for the novelty, I feel I could have gotten a little bit better value elsewhere, but still overall happy with what I got and what I paid. I used the onsen once during my two week stay. I really like onsens, but this one is small, busy, and I just wasn't a fan. Service was awesome. He spoke great English, and helped me bring my heavy luggage up the stairs to my room. Overall, despite starting out critical here, this place is really nice and I like the quiet area next to nice walking paths. Lastly, I wish the place had a small dining table and chairs. You basically have to eat at a small low table on the floor.

Rua was very helpful and understanding when my check in was delayed due to airline delays. The place was easy to find and in a nice area

Sho's flat is a perfectly located room in a neighbourhood which is fun to explore - tons to do, all within walking distance. The nearby temples/shrines are sublime. Take Sho's excellent food recommendations - all of which turned out to be exceptional; recommended walk to the gym/pool also great. (Within blocks, there is a restaurant-filled quarter - incredible variety.) The walks themselves are scenic, and the location convenient to virtually all of Tokyo. Sho was always kind, helpful and responsive. The room is a great place to crash...do bring earplugs, though, as you are at the mercy of the guests upstairs (who may not walk on tiptoe.) The character of the small room is that of a simple hotel - it is not very personal or apartment-like. The bathroom is comfortable, clean and functions well. Although the check-in process sounded quite elaborate, it ended up being easy. Choose this place for the location and exploring ...and for a good night's sleep, as the room is small and simple.

This room is located near train stations and there is a 7-Eleven convenience store within one minute walk. I appreciate the washing machine in the bathroom area as well as the reliable dryer located in the common area.

Apartment is better than the pictures. Location is great. Host is responsive. Coastal vibes. Me and my husband enjoyed our stay here. Would love be back!

We had a lovely stay at Shunki’s place! Everything was clean and spacious with easy check in and out instructions. The location was convenient to the train station and we had multiple convenient stores and shops for our every day needs. We were welcomed with a box of treats when we arrived and it was super sweet! Highly recommend :)

Hironobu gave excellent directions with photos of exactly how to find the place. This was extremely helpful after a long flight and no clue how to get around the city yet. He was also very quick, less than 5-10 minutes, in responding. Location felt like it was in the Financial District, very quiet, but it was also very close to the trains to go anywhere, especially close yo Akihabara, 2 stops away, and Tokyo Station, and Asakusa. There are lots of bathrooms and showers too. Very clean and comfortable. Thank you for your hospitality! We really enjoyed our stay!
