West Auchenhean, Rosie's Cottage

FlorenceRating, 5 stars1 month ago
My friend and I chose this cottage for a quiet getaway with our dogs and it was just what we hoped it would be. We were welcomed by Barbara and Graeme upon arrival and they were very kind and helpful if we had any queries at all. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. The views from the bedrooms were stunning and there were plenty walks nearby the property, which were especially lovely in the evening with the sunsets. It was the perfect scenic escape we needed. Thank you Barbara and Graeme (and Rosie the golden retriever of course!).

Country Escape with Sea Views, Ayr, Ayrshire

LeonieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Clare’s place was simply amazing! It is beautiful and well thought out. It has everything you need to feel right at home. We cooked some meals for our kids and the kitchen was well equipped for everything we made. The animals and wildlife around the house was an added bonus and kept the kids very entertained, along with the little play area to the side of the house. We will definitely be back if we were in this part of the world again :)

MacLean Cottage on the banks of Loch Long

PatRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Lovely location and David was very responsive. We had a wee problem with the hot tub and David came out to rectify it early morning when the weather was at its worst. Great hosts and take pride in their accommodation and facilities. A great break in homely accommodation with the hot tub as a lovely addition. The weather didn’t spoil our stay and enjoyed the peace and quiet of this great location.

Mrs Leonard's Cottage with hot tub and sauna

AlisonRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We couldn’t have picked a better place to finish our week exploring Islay and Jura. The cottage is an absolute dream. A mixture of back to basics and quality amenities. Located a 10 minute drive from Craighouse but also with great walks straight from the door. The paps right on your doorstep gave us the most magical sunset sight. Rain or sun whatever the weather Jura wears it well. And Mrs Leonard’s cottage is the perfect place to come back to and either warm up in front of the fire or sip a wine or a touch of the hard stuff in the garden. I hope we will be back

Tigh-Na-Creige

PamelaRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Not long returned from this beautiful huge cottage 4-8th November. The home oozes luxury from beautiful beds, bed linen to furniture and the view is something else. The kitchen is off the scale, having stayed in many rental holiday homes this was like no other, my friend is a chef, bless her cooked from scratch every night and every possible utensil and cooking item was there as well as a top of the range cooker. Loved the peaceful setting and mega view, but only 7 min drive to great hotel. My nervous dog loved the hours walking on the quiet single track road. We really had the best stay and look forward to returning.

4 Bed in AYR (90038)

AnitaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We booked this cottage as a meeting place for family coming together for a wedding in Ayr. Half from Buckinghamshire in England and the other half flying in from Austin Texas. Youngest 25 and eldest nearly 90! The accommodation was a perfect fit for us all. Plenty of space to spread out. Gorgeous, peaceful outlook to sit and watch the wildlife or to take a stroll along the path to the front of the property. Local restaurant The Holly Bush is very close, with wonderful views. Food was delicious and the owner super friendly and welcoming. Dumfries House is well worth a visit. With its free gardens to explore and take in nature. Plenty to keep all ages entertained. We also visited the beach at Maidens. Paddled in the sea, strolled along the pathway to take in a drink at the Ropes Bistro. A visit in to Lagg, another stroll along the seafront and a stop for tea and scones at Nardini's which is best known for its Ice Cream. Loch Doon Castle is worth a visit to take in the scenery alone.

House with private hot tub and views of west coast

MelanieRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We absolutely loved our stay here, the hot tub made it even better. Place was immaculately clean, no faults what so ever. Basic kitchen equipment which is all you need for a few days away. Plenty of restaurants, take aways and shop within the area if you’re driving so was able to have the option there if we fancied. Access was easy and it was easy to find, we both liked how it wasn’t on a public road etc and it was so peaceful at night. We were lucky to be able to see a sunset on our first night and that was fantastic, being able to be in the hot tub and have those views was just unreal. Even on our second night the weather wasn’t the best we still loved every minute of it. We cannot recommend this enough, we will definitely be back! Thank you both again

3 Bedroom Cottage with Hot Tub and Log Burner

CaraRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Fab time. Lovely spotless cottage, comfy beds very private. Only issue there was only 3 wine glasses and there was 4 of us. So someone had to have a gin glass. But think they were happy about it. Thank you to our host, plenty of communication all questions answered. Would look to stay again should we return to Oban. Thank you

Picturesque Old Smiddy Cottage

TaniaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Words cannot express the wonderful week we have had on Loch Katrine. Old Smiddy is ideally located for hiking the mountains, lochs and woodland and Carole has thought of all you need to make it feel like a home from home. Having our morning tea watching the Barn Swallows and House Martins catching their breakfast on the lake in the sunshine was very special. Aberfoyle has all you need for food and cute shops and fantastic Doone Hill walk from the town - Free Parking!!! A ferry trip on the Sir Walter Scott from the pier over to Trossachs Pier is a MUST and the Primrose Hill hike was stunning. The Pier Cafe is outstanding, definitely worth a treat and just a short walk away. Thank you Carole for sharing your amazing house, we will be back to enjoy the hot tub and sauna 🤞

2 bedroom renovated barn with sea views

ElaineRating, 5 stars6 days ago
David’s place is breathtaking! The views from every room are stunning. It’s out of the way up a farm track. It’s very comfy and super clean. Thats the upside of the “no dogs upstairs” policy , which is in place. It’s a place which will remain in your memory forever…. West Kilbride town is also a joy. The artsy side of Scotlands’ Craft Town, the fabulous red coffee shop, the Kandy bar bakers, Climies butchers and the greengrocers shop, all on the main street… makes you feel like you’ve stepped back to a time pre supermarkets. The town park is fabulous. You can walk from the town all the way down to Seamills beach, walk along the beach and then cut back up to the main Street where The Barony Arts Centre and cafe is also well worth a visit. All in all a wonderful place to be. An exceptional air bnb in a great little corner of the country. Loved it.

Gometra Teacher's Bothy

ScottRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Married on 25th May at Gretna Green, we arrived at Gometra’s North Pier on the 26th via my uncle’s fishing boat, welcomed ashore by young Rhoda. Genevieve and I cherished our solitude here, reminiscing about my childhood holidays at Gometra in the '70s. The gallery honesty shop next to Jane Anne’s was a delight—we sent postcards out from there! I climbed Fairy Hill, laying seaweed in memory of Jane Anne and the Mermaid. A magical start to our life together!"

Cosy rural lodge, on a farm with an open fire

SophieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This is the second time we have stayed here and we loved it just as much the second time round. We are a family of 4 with a 4 and 6 year old and the house is perfect for us. The best view accompanied by chickens and ponies on the doorstep! It's a great base to explore the loch and beyond. Highlights include a local walk to 'the island', climbing Dun na Cuaiche and a ferry over to Kerrera from Oban for a walk and cake. Highly recommend!

Idyllic cottage in the heart of Loch Lomond

JacquelineRating, 5 stars1 week ago
My husband and I stayed at Jade's cottage for 3 nights. The location and surroundings were stunning and the beautiful cottage was clean and comfortable. Only thing that disappointed was the lack of a personal touch. This for me is the best part of booking an AirBnB over a hotel. The photos showed nice, colorful potted plants at the entrance and a personal welcome "for some" inside. So the expectation was set. But the pots really needed some TLC and there was nothing to welcome us except an empty fridge. Jade was to meet us, but we got delayed 1/2 an hour and she left. A few "basics" is nice for arriving travelers. Water, "real" coffee and some creamer? A pastry or a local specialty? It is not much, but shows the owner has made the effort. There were no instructions for using the appliances other than "heated floor on a timer". Maybe a nice "house manual" including recommended local things to see and do? Checking in with guests during their stay? These are what make a 5 star review.
