Boat holiday rentals in The Great Lakes

My 5-year-old daughter and I were on a road trip and we booked this very last minute. it was definitely the highlight of the trip and wish we would have stayed a couple of extra days. the water was beautiful in the evening with the sunset.

Ian's place is as described. His boat is clean, and the resort is well organized. He is one of the few hosts that is actually on-site, to help with anything needed; he is also very accommodating and easy-going. I didn't think there was actually going to be a karaoke night, as it had been described in the other reviews, but there was one. The whole area is conducive to a relaxed state of mind. my son and I enjoyed staying here and will very likely come back for some good fishing. Yes, we caught fish too, which was a plus.

Thanks Robby, This was a terrific experience! We enjoyed our stay on this boatel. It’s cozy for sure, best to bring only what you need as the space in your room is limited. After sitting on the deck in the fresh air to watch the sunset, we slept great! Both of us commented to each other about the comfy mattresses. We are in our 60’s and we’re apprehensive about the bunks but it wasn’t a problem as my hubby used the provided ladder to get up onto the top bunk. The Staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Fun gift shop. Check in and out was easy. Please read the full Paperwork before signing! I say this because it does mention that guests should be quiet and respectful in the hallway and in their rooms. We did appreciate the clean rooms, linens, and reading hall with a great reading library from which to borrow during your stay. There is a cd player with 1930-40’s music that matches the atmosphere perfectly. If we find ourselves in the area in the future would stay here again!

Fun stay. Make sure you get a tour of the engine room. So much fun learning about this ship and feeling like you are experiencing a piece of history.

Ian is a great host very friendly and professional. Amenities are well kept from the swimming pool to the fish cleaning hut, you can buy even premium gas for your boat and enjoy a Saturday evening karaoke. Definitely we will come back again.

Thomas and Cynthia are amazing hosts. We spent 2 nights on the boat and had an amazing time. The house and the boat are on such a unique location right next to the ship wrecks. We spent a lot of time on the water rowing, paddle boarding and canoeing. Our kid also had so much fun on the floating trampoline. Waking up to the sunrise and watching the wrecks as the first rays of sunlight hit the water was the highlight of our stay. Special thanks to Cynthia for showing us around and answering all our questions. Their dogs Bear and Abby are so cute 🥰 Hope to visit again in the future ❤️

I stayed with my 9yr old for two nights. It was an amazing experience! The stay is as described - in between a hotel and camping but the location is unmatched. There is electricity but no fridge/microwave; pack your coolers for a great onboard dining experience or venture into town. The boat was actually more spacious than I expected. There is a small smart TV and internet, our firetv stick provided evening entertainment. We brought both sleeping bags and a bedsheet and slept very comfortably. It was our first time in the Bayfield area. We hope to bring my husband back to the boat (and Bayfield) for even more adventures!

This rental exceeded our expectations. A very unique experience. The yacht is very well appointed with everything that we needed to enjoy our stay. We cooked every night on board and the galley had great ammenities and kitchen ware. The owner Jack was great to deal with and was always quick to respond to any questions. We were actually fishing on another boat in the marina so the location was perfect. I will hopefully get a chance to get back to this rental again soon. Thanks Jack for the use of your boat.

Patrick and Mindy’s place was great! Clean, pictures of the listing were accurate, they were very timely with their responses. Would definitely recommend this as a cute alternative Airbnb place! Will definitely keep their boats in mind if I’m ever traveling in the area again.

What can I say about this B&B...it was simply amazing. It was super easy to check-in and easy to find. The owners have a great response time and we're always available if I had any questions. The yacht itself was beautiful and charming. If you are looking for somewhere to stay that isn't the typical hotel room then this listing is the one for you! We had an amazing time staying here and will rent this listing in the future. I do not have a negative word to say about this stay.

Pretty cute little boat, the heater kept it toasty and warm. Kind of a tighter fit than I was expecting however that didn’t take away from the positive experience I had. It was also nice to be so close to the main area for the bathrooms. One thing that is worth mentioning is that the main push up door to get in and out is pretty hard to open and needs to be jiggled quite a bit. Just a little side note!

Awesome stay on a a boat! Very cool experience with a lovely living room/outdoor room to hang in! Access to the golf cart was an added bonus to get around town. Boat was very pretty! Check out Yard and Lake for drink/snack, cute and friendly!

I stayed here for a quick weekend trip to Wisconsin for some scenic hikes and views. This place was a prefect half way point for us, while being an experience of its own. I never have stayed on a boat before but this place was clean, more roomy than I thought it would be, even an upstair lookout where you can sit and enjoy the views. The host was responsive when we came in late, needed to leave early, and even updated us on a local event we could attend. It might have been an event or maybe it’s on weekends but the boat is located decently close to the main building where they have live music, went pretty late, I loved it. I would wake up and hear the music. Not loud enough to keep you from sleep but loud enough to hear clearly. The bathrooms were clean as well, do not mistake the public bathrooms for the private bathroom. I did at first but you need your keycard bracelet to get into the bathroom, if you don’t need the keycard to get into you are at the wrong bathroom. Loved it!

I had a blast on Amber's boat. I LOVED hearing the rain and being rocked by the water. The sunset was spectacular. We could walk to everything that we were interested in. The bed was super cozy and comfortable. Amber was responsive, friendly, and kind. I would 100% recommend this to anyone who would like a unique AIRBNB experience. Wonderful stay. Although the listing states no restroom there is a toilet and utilities. There is no shower on the boat but there is one located on site and is just a short walk. The houseboat is part of an inn and is very clean with lots of accessories to the stay. If your on the fence on staying here please don’t hesitate you won’t regret it.

Jay's place is one of the best we have visited. The neighborhood is peaceful, quiet and overall lovely to be around. The house itself was large, spacious and more than enough to accommodate a party of more than 15 people. The rooms were kept clean and there was much space in the living room. Jay is a very responsive host and got back to us with instructions almost immediately. The check-in process was smooth as well. The only places that could use some improvement would be the outdoor cleanliness, including the balcony and the BBQ. Otherwise, our group had a great and pleasant stay.

The Sweet Water was such a fun and unique place to stay! We loved being within walking distance of all of the restaurants and shops in Bayfield. The sunrise views were spectacular! We were even able to hear a live band while relaxing in the back of the boat one night! Such a cool experience. Amanda is a great host!
