This extremely unassuming place has the best freakin calzones ever. Huge though, enough for 2-3 people. And try the garlic bread. Unreal. They have a couple of tables but better for take out. About a 10 minute drive. giantspizzaandsubs.com

This is the best NY-style pizza we've found in Portland served proudly from a corner market. Sounds crazy? It might be genius.
