Bálna (‘Whale’) is a large-scale, glass-fronted building basking on the bank of the Danube near the Great Market Hall. Its terrace is a popular spot to tipple and chat on summer nights, with craft beer on offer from the Jónás Kézművés Sörház.

The best location in Budapest to watch the sunset. This is the only part of the river promenade in the city that has no road traffic next to it, so you can enjoy the gorgeous sunsets over the city without the noise of the cars. The indoor and outdoor bars in the Bálna (Whale) building will provide you with drinks.
