Weve not tried this ourselves but the speed boat tours that run from outside The OldRooms on Trinity St come highly recommended

A bustling and picturesque harbour with many eateries along the quay. The town bridge is fun to watch as it raises and lowers to let yachts and other vessels in and out of the harbour.

Welcome to Weymouth Harbour. Enjoy relaxing in the charm of our beautiful old harbour whilst soaking up the atmosphere, venture into the modern town, or stopover for supplies in preparation for a channel crossing to Northern France or the Channel Islands. It has a 17th Century Waterfront

Situated at the heart of the town is Weymouth’s bustling harbour where you can sit and watch the boats come and go and see the historic bridge lifting. The pretty and traditional old harbour, offers plenty for the visitor to see and do including the Nothe Gardens, where visitors watched the Olympic Sailing events in 2012 and Brewers Quay, an antiques emporium with a number of traders selling antique and vintage furniture, clothing, jewellery and artwork. Come evening, enjoy the catch-of-the-day at one of the waterside restaurants or bistros and toast the sunset with a glass of champagne.

A great place to sit with a glass of wine and watch the yachts coming and going.
