Sports complex is here, There’s a big playground here called Kids Castle, local concerts take place here, also a good place for running/exercise as there’s sidewalks all around the complex.

Lakeside park is 4.8 miles from the lake home, heading toward Pell city, AL, across the Bridge, the park has a Beach area and a boat launch as well. Lakeside Park is located on 65 acres adjacent to the Pell City Civic Center. Picnic areas are available under the trees at no charge. Pavilions with individual restrooms are rented for the day and priced below. There are several walking trails, including a paved 1.1 mile non motorized trail through the wooded section of the park. Many fishing tournaments are held each year. Kids Kastle is a community built playground that was constructed in 2001, and is being enjoyed by everyone!

Lakeside Park has a great splash pad, as well as a scenic 1 mile paved walking/running trail and a sandy shore.
