Alvaro and Andres make the best tortas north of anywhere. Don't mess around, just get a straight up Carnitas Torta and a green apple Sidral.

This is a pretty new addition to the Square and it has some high quality Mexian food. The prices (for Davis) are reasonable. There's no table service, but there are tables or you can do take out. It's not typical tex-mex, but rather closer to authentic Mexican street food.
