First Ward Park is a 4.6 acre urban park in the First Ward neighborhood of Uptown Charlotte. After a national competition to attract architects, the firm Shadley Associates was selected to build the the park. It's beautiful!

my family loves this park in uptown Charlotte between the uptown UNC Charlotte campus building and the Children's library AND a short walk to Seventh Street station where good coffee and food is easy to find.

301 E 7th St Charlotte, NC 28202 First Ward Park is the culmination of a joint partnership between Levine Properties, UNC Charlotte, Mecklenburg County and the City of Charlotte. The new 4-acre park is located between East 7th, 9th and Brevard Streets, just east of the light rail tracks. Nearby shops and other activities.
