This trail leaves the swimmers and boaters behind at the bridge while leading hikers on an easy walk through shaded hillsides awash in colorful wildflower displays. You will be treated to crystal-clear pools on the river, plus secluded pools and a waterfall upstream on Indian Creek.

Yankee Jim’s bridge was featured in Sunset magazine as a destination. The dirt road to the river is scenic. Arrive early to get a place on the Sandy beach. The hike is steep from the parking lot to the water so please be mindful of any limitations. The swimming hole is worth the trip.
