The open meadows form an optimal area for a viable meadow bird population. Vulnerable species such as the black-tailed godwit and snipe find optimal living and breeding conditions here. In order to create an optimal starting situation, relatively parts of the soil are stripped of the nutrient-rich sod. A highly recommended area for birdspotters and other nature lovers!
