This 17th-century building was designed by Inigo Jones for James I, with an exquisite painted ceiling by celebrated baroque artist Peter Paul Rubens. It is the only remaining part of the Palace of Westminster, which was destroyed by fire. Daily 10am-1pm, but call before visiting....

Originally built for King James I as a lavish banqueting hall with painted ceilings by Ruben. This is a wonderful "mini palace" in London steeped in history and on the same street as No 10 Downing Street!
